I found a 4790k on craigslist in my country for 260euro (for reference, from a certified shop, 4690k comes at the same price of 260 euros)
Says it's new and wasnt taken out of package.
Should i go for it? I plan on building gaming rig, i know a 4960k would be plenty, but for the same price, why not go for 4790k?
If you agree, what should i look for and inspect when buying a CPU from craigslist?
If it costs the same why would you just not get the one from the shop?

Oh. My bad.
well it's craigslist so you'll see the package in person and know if it's been opened. deal.

isn't it like impossible with careful crafting and good tools to open the package, replace the cpu with something similar, but different and then seal the package and pretend it was never opened?
thats what i am scared of

no the CPU is visible from a window on the box.
should i go for it then?

yes go check it out
What if it is without waranty?

manufacturer warranty is valid still I believe.
Always pay the extra to get from a reputable shop.
I honestly would not bother OP.
