FUCKING PLEB SHITTERS In my /g/
>>
DisplayPort or some new HDMI version.
>>
>>52219499
Display Port > *

HDMI is purely left because of the TV manufacturers are in on it and lock users into it.

Peritel / SCART

I like DisplayPort myself. My laptop has a mini DisplayPort on it and using a 9ft mini DP to HDMI cable It works just fine when plugged into TVs that only have HDMI inputs too.
>>
DisplayPort > HDMI > DVI > VGA
>>
>hdmi carries the dvi protocol
>and other stuff

why would you use anything else?
>>
>>52220057

Only enough bandwidth for 30Hz at 4k. Fine for TV, completely unusable on PC. You need something like Displayport on high end systems.
>>
>people unironically use HDMI over DVI even if they aren't using audio

Casuals, all of you.
>>
>>52220139
>Single link has max resolution of 1920x1200
>Dual link has max resolution of 2560x1600

It isn't 2008 anymore. DVI is not good enough for modern usage.

Name one product on the market with HDMI 2.0 support.
>>
In between computer atm and currently only have an ASUS C201. Bought a Micro HDMI to VGA cord to hook up my 24" 1080p monitor as a external. How will this experience be?
>>
>People unironically use anything that isn't DisplayPort
I am shaking my head to be quite honest with you family
>>
Vga cause it came with my moniturd.

Only correct answers here. Anything else is objectively inferior.

So does dvi.
>>
>>52220498
virtually every 4k TV ?

>DVI maxes out at 2560

ashamed I legit did not know this. I'm DSRing 3840x2160 onto a 1080p monitor. Am I being bottle-necked by DVI? I would think not because I'm just downsampling but idk senpai
