What is the best Tablet/Laptop hybrid?
What is the best hybrid that supports android? Windows? iOS?
I refuse to spend less than $300 on this but not looking to get into the thousands. This is a christmas gift for my girlfriend, I'm pretty sure she like Windows (retard) and iOS, but I'm pretty sure there is no Apple hybrids.
Nope. It's a poor match, even if some devices can somehow run both.
Get her a Tablet and a Laptop.
One will run Android, the other probably Windows.
She wants something that she can use for homework, then take the keyboard off and use for facebook or stumbleupn, snapchat, etc when just chilling on the couch. Is there really nothing out there that has the function of programs like word, powerpoint, etc and the app market of android/apple?
Well, there are ways to run something like Office on an Android device, but it's unsatisfactory.
Same thing for using Windows on a Tablet (or a Tablet that is spec'd for x86 Windows, in some ways like battery life).
It's simple, she can do her homework on that laptop and then just grab the tablet from the same bag or backpack or whatever and then chill on the couch with that, if it suits her better...
Eh, I'm not trying to blow mad cash on this bitch haha she needs a new laptop cause this dell she has been struggling on is just awful, but i was trying to kill 2 birds with one stone.
I really like the Lenovo Yoga form factor. it's the kind that the screen opens up and keeps on opening to fold over to the back, and then it disables the keyboard until you close it back up into laptop form. I also have an older kind like your pic that opens, turns around and closes down again over the keys but those are not as good, you have to learn the opening and closing steps (do I turn it left or right next?) instead of just opening it and using.
ORRR u could just buy her an Ipad air 2 starting at 499$ and buy a seperate keyboard. If all she needs to do is type and basic productive work an Ipad (with a keyboard) should be fine. Also an Ipad is the best tablet to get for entertainment.
What is /g/'s opinion on the Surface Pro 3? I'd really like to get away from my bulky laptop and this seems awesome. Only concern is how well does it sit in a lap when I'm on a couch or something?
> OP: I'm looking to spend less than $300
> Macfags: LOL POORFAG JUST BUY HER A $1200 APPLE FAGBOOK
How would your girlfriend feel about a used Thinkpad x201t?
really good actually. recommended for my mom. she likes it it. first she complained [because of windows ui and touch controls] but after she got used to it she looks more relaxed with it then a laptop/notebook...so that's a positive i would say.
She would start feeling a rich brown man's cock in her uterus after he bought her a nice retina macbook that her shitty previous boyfriend couldn't afford.
Poorfags can't win on christmas.
forgot to add that you can't have it better for the lap. with keyboard or without. you can set the angle according to your need.... get one if you can. i5 version is more usable then i thought.
