Opens up more desk space, allows me to watch my TV from my bed without turning it, more room for my consoles, racing gear, puts my PC deeper under the desk instead of slightly sticking out and me constantly knocking against it with my chair. It's pretty much a better layout in every way possible

dt7100? Do you mean the D7100? Well, I guess with a mirrorless camera you will always be somewhat limited in your choice of lenses. Adapters often mean that features like auto-focus don't work and overall it's probably not worth it (large lenses also destroy the smaller form factor of micro 4/3 cameras).

Yea, I bought the camera because it was small, but found out I didn't really care about the size later.

Also the adapter for the sony lenses still allow the auto-focus to work which is nice. But I rarely every use the feature anymore.

I can't do eBay for a CRT monitor. It's a huge gamble (dozens of problems they can have) and I can't afford to lose the high shipping costs. Locally, I started looking a couple years too late to have a chance at finding anything local. I passed up some 17" Trinitrons hoping for something larger and then even those disappeared years ago.

Is this actually seriously possible? That's like a 220 KHz horizontal scan rate on a monitor specced for 140 KHz maximum. I thought all modern CRT monitors would just give you an "out of range" message when exceeding the maximum scan rate.

Are you sure your graphics driver isn't just lying and the monitor isn't just running at a lower refresh rate?

I tried maxing out my monitor just to see what it could do, I was expecting maybe 2560x1920 @ ~75hz, but I was surprisingly able to bring it up to the 113 mark. I was skeptical at first so I used testufo and a couple fps tests and it sure looks and feels like 113hz.

Can you also push extremely high refresh rates at lower resolutions? Even 140 Khz allows for pretty high refresh rates at low resolutions, but I think most monitors were officially "capped" at 160Hz or so regardless of the horizontal scan rate.

Strange. If anything, I would expect you to be able to push >160Hz refresh rates at low resolutions before being able to push 2560x1920@113Hz. Technically, the monitor and GPU should be able to handle nearly 300Hz at 640x480, but like I said before they have that cap at 160. It's just weird that you don't hit a cap on the horizontal scan rate, or the GPU.
