Why has the flip phone form factor gone completely out of style in the US?

I can't find any modern smartphones that are either flip phones or otherwise have some kind of dedicated keyboard.

Yeah, I kinda' miss that too... the possibility of breaking it in two easily was nice.

I don't know about that particular model, since I'm pretty sure it's Japan exclusive, but there are certainly android flip phones out there.

Like this one, 2 3.7in screens, Snapdragon 800, 2gb ram, for a whopping 1600 USD.

I like all the cool asian flip phones and wish there were more physical keyboard phones

Why not just get that new square Blackberry? looks like it has a neat keyboard.

I would love one of these, but shit they are expensive!

The only Samsung phones I actually liked using were older clamshell and candybar phones, back when they actually put effort into making solid, attractive phones that cost less than $600.

I'd definitely go for a cheaper clamshell smartphone, but unfortunately the market here isn't big enough.

Relentless consumerism.
Millennials enjoy the touch screen keyboard rather than a physical keyboard.

Lookup the Sharp 007SH.

It's a waterproof, clamshell japanese smartphone through Softbank that runs Android.
