I'm sick of banshee's shit. What's the best Linux music player that's not full autism (isn't CLI, doesn't need a shitload of customization etc.)?
>>
>>45550331
try clemetine
>>
>>45550331
deadbeef is pretty cool

if you'd like something more advance take a look at clementine and amarok
>>
>>45550375

Tried it but it just didn't sit right with me plus it was fairly ugly.

>>45550397

That does look cool, will try.
>>
>>45550375
Clementine is pretty good but RAM-hungry. Audacity is pretty cool. Closest to foobar2000 I found
>>
>>45550331
Amarok. Ids bretty good but it has shitloads of features so if you don't use them better don't install it.
>>
>>45550439
By default its GUI is bloated as hell, but it's easy to hide.

If you want something that is similar to foobar, deadbeef is the way to go.

Not OP but i'm in the same situation.
>>45550375
it's a resource blackhole.

>>45550397
I really like it, but is it open source? I don't trust russians.

something with the looks of
>image related
would be nice
>>
Rhythmbox.

Yes.

https://github.com/Alexey-Yakovenko/deadbeef
>>
>>45550478
thank you !! I'm fucking done with banshee.
>>
>>45550510
Enjoy.

I didn't like Banshee either. On the other hand I'm running the full autism stack with mpd/ncmpcpp. However deadbeef is the best alternative if you're not into that imo.
>>
i really enjoyed using quodlibet, it's relatively minimalistic but it gives you flexible control over your library and doesn't fuck up your tags, which is surprisingly rare amongst linux music players.
>>
>>45550523
yeah I know what you mean. I'll stick with deadbeef, but one day I'll go full autist Im sure.
>>
>>45550331
Cmus master race, just install and go.
>>
gnome music
>>
>>45550552
I mainly use mpd because I can play my music collection from school, at my desktop, to my stereo etc all with one central source. I'm streaming raw pcm over http.
>>
>>45550331
Just change to sort by album artists in the view menu faggot. Clementine is even worse.
>>
>>45550331
rhythmbox
thought it was all those others, but it treats me right.
>>
>no musicbee
>no winyl
>no foobar

being a freetard must be really hard.
>>
>>45550592
oh god don't listen to this faggot rhythmbox is awful
>>
>>45550576
dis op
listen to the spic
>>
>>45550592

OP here, tried that one too. It was pretty awful.

I think I'll pick DeadBeef, thanks.
>>
>>45550599
No, it's wonderful.
>>
>>45550576
Wow! Bro, you are such a 1337 haxxor!!! You hacked your music player? Wow real cool Brodie.
>>
Just use your file manager and your multimedia program like mpv to play the selected files

OP here, so how do I make my deadbeef look like pic related, I tried dicking around the preferences but can't seem get it. Do I need plugins or something?

Ha

what a fucking autist
>>
>>45550857

Oh nevermind figured it out it was the "group by" option.
>>
>>45550763
You're a faggot
You use a meme audio player
And you're a fucking weeabo
>>
>>45550989
Did you just want to organize your music by album artist instead of track artists?
>>
>>45551036

I wanted it grouped by album with the album arts on the leftmost column like in the image. I'm good now.
>>
>>45550331
>actually using Linux
kek
>>
>>45550331
I really like GNOME Music. It's simpler than other players and has the "just werkz" factor that I really enjoy. It also mimics iTunes somewhat, which I enjoy also. After playing with ncmpcpp for a while, returning to simple shit is great.
>>
>>45551267
this shits itself with my 15k songs library
>>
>>45550576
I think you have good taste in music and players :^)
>>
>>45551405

Yes, it suffers from some quite bad backend design at the moment and needs quite a bit of work before I'd recommend it to anyone.

Alternatively there's Lollypop which shares a lot of UI similarities.
