What type of Linux should I use?
>>
>>45496815
Don't use Linux unless you are using it on a server or a phone.

LFS
>>
The red one.
>>
Win8

Linux is trash as a desktop
>>
I just installed arch. It was frustrating at first, but now that I have a slightly customized, yet still shitty, DE running on it, there's a very satisfying feeling of accomplishment, that I never knew before. I can totally understand all the gentoo, arch and other faggots posting in desktop threads, fishing for compliments. That shit takes time and effort.

My wireless is still not working, though. Somehow I managed to connect during the fucking installation, but now I can't do jack shit.

For a software developer? What should I use?

This blue screen is not from this decade. The death screen looks much better now.
>>

What DE?
Also, not OP, but first time user too.
Should I use GNOME or Unity?
>>
>>45497978

And costs money.

> To get death screened. WTF?
>>
>>45497970
He talked about Windows 8, not XP.

Any windows.

If you want to go all out and trust yourself with following instructions, get arch Linux. If not, just get Ubuntu to learn the differences between Linux and windows.
