Nope, i'm getting it because i want a second monitor (Not only want, starting to feel some need of it) and a mechanical keyboard. But i have no money to invest in a good flat monitor and a brand new mech so i'll try to do my best on a budget.

It's not bad. Mousepad is way to big and off center for my taste, but it must work fine for you. Maybe route your cables in pairs, hidden along your monitor riser legs.

The wall is a bit too far back for my liking and I can't mount the side monitors at an angle if they are on the wall. Also I'm buying a 42" TV off someone that will be mounted on the wall, probably in January.

I had a triple monitor stand back when I had 3x 21.5" monitors but it was a shit $60 from easymountlcd. I could never get the monitors to align right. There was one side about 2" higher than the other no matter what I did.

If I actually got a good stand I could probably angle the desktop, set the monitors back a bit more and raise them, maybe wall mount the speakers next to the TV? and then put the oscilloscope, function generator, a soldering station perhaps, and other stuff below the monitors. I don't really have any other ideas. I have no space for more furniture.

If you are considering a projector, you have to consider the ergonomics of owning one.
You have to be able to completely (and I mean best case scenario pitch black) darken the room to achieve the best PQ, you'll have constant fan noise in operation (depending on the model, my Sony HW-15 is only ~12dB on eco-mode, my NAS is louder) and it won't be as quick to start-up and shutdown (heating up the Hg lamp and cooling it down on on/off).
The brightness gets worse the more hours you run it (although you won't notice it that much, it degrades gradually, slowly and not all that much as manufacturers want to make you believe). Replacement lamp for my model costs 120€, so factor that in if you're poor and going to use it a lot (currently at 1800 hours of my lamp's rated 3000 hours).
Projectors are really critical about where to place them, research throw distance and brightness at desired projection size, because you'll be wanting to operate the projector on lowest zoom possible, for best brightness / contrast. That's even worse with cheaper models that don't have lens shift features for easier placement options.
All things considered, I'd never go back because some things are just so much better on the big screen, for everything else I use my 1440p monitor.

I probably won't find it but hope is the last one to die, right? CRT is easy tho, with the 'boom' of the LCD/LED people are selling their shit for like 10$ or giving it away.
