What torrent client do you use?
>>
>>45425056
Deluge
>>
>>45425086
isnt it slow as fuck?
>>
>>45425095
Torrent clients are only limited by your own connection, and the seed on seeders
>>
qBittorrent

I'd use rtorrent if I could transfer all my seeding and torrents and could be assed to learn to use it
>>
qBittorrent.

The RSS is a little clunky, but if you don't use RSS it's godlike
>>
>>45425131
(not true, by the way)
>>
None, because I'm not a thief.
>>
anybody use Transmission QT on windows? how is it?
>>
>>45425160
oh then fucking enlighten me, elder of the ages, installer of gentoo
>>
>>45425206
I used to use it, it was fine. Sleek little interface. Moved to qBt though, for no particular reason when I did a clean install.
>>
Deluge because /g/ told me.
>>
>>45425206

seems alright to me, but then again i don't torrent much.

I got the recommendation from /g/ in the first place so theoretically it could be good.
>>
Deluge on windows
rtorrent on linux

Deluge because /g/ told me.

Using Transmission on Linux. All I need my torrent software to do is download shit and that's all Transmission does.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU + Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

acceptable clients:

deluge
rtorrent
transmission
utorrent
qbittorrent

it's personal preference and personal experience of what works best for you that makes the choice
>>
>>45425056

Nothing but Deluge
>>
>>45425146
exactly why i can't use it
>>
whatever happened to /g/torrent
>>
>>45425192
How do you install Linux then?
>>
>>45427800
this
>>
>>45425206
Would be good if it could properly handle torrents with subfolders.
>>
>>45427800
You didn't really expect that to take off, did you?
>>
>>45425056
Transmission on my server, qbittorrent on my laoptops. Don't have a desktop right now.
>>
>>45425192
Is it lonely up there on your high horse?
>>
>>45428265
It would've been nice
>>
>>45425192

Deluge.
>>
Deluge is an unoptimised POS.
>>
>>45430074
You forgot to add
>...on Windows.
>>
>>45430089
>Deluge
Why would you use deluge on loonix?
>>
>>45430100
Why wouldn't you use Deluge on Loonix?
>>
>>45430109
Because Vuze is the superior option?

t.
>>
>>45430153
For reals though, qbit is superior in almost everyway
>>
Is there a client with a minimal gui? I only need to basic info and I would prefer no icons
>>
>>45425220
not the guy you're replying to, but although the protocol is standard, the way different implementations handle the unstable peer2peer side of things can make a difference
>>
>>45430183
rtorrent?
>>
uTorrent 2.2.1

Deluge is bloated as fuck and had a habit of crashing every night, qBittorrent has a shit interface, other clients have over-involved interfaces.

I want a no bullshit client that is light, simple, and reliable. uTorrent 2.2.1 is that.
>>
>>45430241
Transmission is okay too.
>>
Vuze

because it doesn't look like it was designed by some freetards

btpd because it follows unix philosophy and respects my freedoms
>>
Halite on windows, rtorrent with some improvement patches on my arch.
>>
>>45425086
Its literally the worst client
>>
I use qbit but wtf it doesn't have stop button? Like I'd ever seed my shit lol

where can i buy that weebforce
>>
I use Deluge.

Only thing IO hate about it is that I'm unable to edit trackers for multiple torrents at once.
>>
>>45430183
rtorrent
>>
Is there some torrent client that automatically sorts your downloads in folders by the torrent tracker?
>>
Baretorrent is the best :))
>>
Deluge on lnx. It sux on windooze.
>>
>>45426176
Only 2.2.1 utorrent is acceptable
>>
Transmission, because it works.
>>
>>45430596
fucking idiot
>>
>>45430241
>>45431803
why only that version of utorrent?
>>
azureus
>>
>>45434631
It's a no bullshit torrent client.
>>
>>4543463last>>45434631
Last version without bloat.
>>
>>45434755
ah. thank you. i wondered when they added all of that useless shit
>>
Currently using UTorrent on Win7. Getting pretty sick of its shit. Anybody have a Win7 client they'd recommend?
>>
>>45425192
Son, this is bait
>>
>>45425095
Any speed issues with Deluge are entirely due to your OS. On Linux it runs happily even on a 1.2GHz ARMv5te potato with 512MB RAM.
>>
>>45425056
Transmission on my Linux bot and QBitTorrent on my main rig and laptop.
>>
>>45430596
Worse than BitComet?

Transmission (Mac)
>>
>>45425056
utorrent cause it works and I don't give a fuck if it's logged somewhere on some database that I downloaded some movies and games from the piratebay
>>
>>45425056
Tixati
I like the way it looks. And it gives me fun graphs to look at.

Also the wealth of information it gives me about connections helps me circumvent the p2p blocks on my uni's connections.
>>
Im using bitcomet because it has so many options...
>>
>>45438480
utorrent fgt
>>
qbittorrent because you can stream videos before they are actually finished downloading.

best daemon is deluge.
