well the good news is once you root it you can get Titanium backup (or alternative) and use it to back up all your apps and settings, so you can switch ROMs painlessly

Not sure about the icons, it's the Grayhound Icon Pack but 2-3 out of the 6 icons you see there - app drawer one can't be changed without root - were custom made by me (2,3 and 5(?) for anyone wondering).

I could imagine using ones like >>44312454 in either white or a dark custom shade but I'm not sure they would get along well with that dumb app drawer icon, same goes for pretty much all other icon packs, unfortunately.

Any input?

Man, I don't know if you're still here. Just wanted to thank you. I was able to replicate all my customization I had with Nova Launcher just using XGELS (donated version) and GravityBox. And now I have full Google Now integration.
