>not dropping the deprecated adblockplus for the superior and modern adguard
Why Adguard AdBlocker is better than Adblock or AdBlock Plus?
1. Adguard AdBlocker is really fast and lightweight. It uses half as much memory as other popular solutions: Adblock, Adblock Plus, Adblock Pro, Adblock Premium and other ABP clones.
2. Adguard can handle Anti-AdBlock scripts. You won't have to turn off the AdBlocker anymore to be able to visit the websites that are using such scripts. Just send a complaint to our tech support and we'll handle it.
3. Adguard is simply better looking and modern.
We live in an age where this is no longer a problem
I haven't come across any of those. what weird porn you watching?
>better looking and more modern
The point is to get shit out of my face. I don't care about the look of the setting page that I see once per install
Unless you can toot that it blocks more ads, I don't really care. Especially since abp already handles all ads.
Ahahaha top fucking lel.
Very easy to bypass. It's as simple as opening blocked items, finding the anti-adblock script (it's also in red, don't confuse it with the ads), and unblocking it. The more you know.
I have a modified hosts file, but it doesn't block ads on yt and a bunch of other ads. I'm really tired of abp on ff though, it just takes up memory and never releases it once it goes up and just keeps getting higher. I've tried making a very small custom filter too, but it still makes ff go from using <150mb to almost a gb.
I would use chrome + ublock, but chrome does other annoying things that I can't get used to.
Yeah, but where's the source code?
If you don't have a good answer I might as well use chrome and microBlock. Also you are a shill.
>I might as well use chrome and microBlock.
># Needed to unbreak sites affected by out of the box lists
>using an extension that is broken out of the box
you aren't this retarded, are you /g/?
The extension works perfectly when you install it.
The lists are broken when the developer gets them and then he fixes them before giving them to you. You are not affected by this.
I just use block lists on my router, anything else i can always just remove with a userscript if i really want.
>How Adguard AdBlocker can protect your privacy?
>Just enable Spyware and tracking filter in Adguard's settings. It completely removes all forms of tracking from the internet.
I'd never trust these lying shitheads.
>our tech support
guys I'm not shilling pls believe me
>shitty slow constanly crashing browser
>ui copied from chrome
there's no reason to use firefox anymore
grow up and stop using shit just because you can rice it to match your pedophile cartoon desktop
why would it be
it soothes the pain of every day's life
You know why Adguard can handle Anti-Adblock scripts you fucking faggot? Because those scripts are specifically written to counter Adblock because it's popular, now that you start spreading Adguard those scripts will block Adguard too
Nice job faggot
I jumped off the ABP ship when I was fed up with it using 5.5GB+ of memory. It's absurd as it sounds.
How can it use 5.5GB what the fuck.
Uses 200mb on my end, well not anymore.
Adblock Guard seems to work just fine, 53mb RAM usage.
Looks good, we'll see how it functions within a few months.
ABP only has the fact it came first going for it, I'm positive there are better solutions, like other torrent clients for uTorrent.
Hey /g/uys, I am trying to find an alternative to ABP/ABE in firefox. idk why, but whenever I watch a video and ABP/E is used the CPU usage jumps to 70-80% instead of 15-20 without
I tried bluhell and it doesn't have the issue, but it doesn't really block all ads
please be less obvious with your shills.
adblock is perfect for what most people need it for, for blocking ads. What the fuck is this shit about an extension + downloadable program to "fully block all ads." that adguard adblocker has.
There is no reason, that anon is just retarded
pfSense. It's a pretty awesome BSD-based router software. Customizable as fuck. I've got it running on an older Dell with 4 nics and router antennas. This guy gets it.
>you aren't this retarded, are you /g/?
It's to unbreak sites which are broken by non-standard hosts-based lists like:
- Peter Lowe’s Ad server list
- Dan Pollock’s hosts file
- hpHosts’s Ad and tracking servers
- MVPS HOSTS
To allow you more protection than ABP could ever provide you: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/%C2%B5Block-and-others:-Blocking-ads,-trackers,-malwares
Using all the above lists I easily go under 200 for that benchmark.
It's called working for the users' best interests.
People who think "thanks obama" is witty might want to give this a shot as well.
Checking out this plugin
looks solid, going to give this a shot, thanks OP
I dislike that way that adblock Plus works with the giant CSS sheet, but at least it's opensource.
I can spare a 5mb of ram and half a second of my time a year for opensource.
In addtion it hasn't even been approved by Mozzila yet.
I wouldn't be supprised if it ends up being some form of malware.
