Current Battlestation Thread is slowly dying () so lets start a new one, what are you buying next edition?
>Custom Water cooling loop
>4K IPS Monitor
>Thinking about getting some smaller speakers
How are you enjoying the q701's? I was on the fence about them and I ended up getting my HD 25-1 ll's.
Really enjoying them, they lack a bit of bass, but once you've played around with the EQ they sound awesome.
I've probably asked you before, but what keyboard is that? I really want a new one like yours or something like this,
What to buy next
>Graphics card, I'm working like a slave right now.
>It's really nice.
>You don't have to have a good GPU, just depends on what you play.
>5ms is not a bother at all, i have played many competetive games with no problems att all, coming from a 120hz 1ms crap monitor.
It had a -5 degree tilt so it's bareable, however my bed is behind and to the right of my setup, I usually put the TV out from the wall and watch it in bed, or just put my feet on my desk.
Pic related. My room is not decorated because I'm moving out soon.
Purchased a Thinkpad x201t for school, an extra battery, and the ultrabay as well. Just have to wait on FedEX ground for it to mozy its way on up to Richmond, then boat its way over to me!
What do you guys think of this desk, should I get it?
Finally found a picture of your face on the internet but whatever happened to moving your chair so you could fully recline while fapping and was it enjoyable not trying to sound like a stalker but you said you didnt have a job but i saw you had netflix does your parents pay for all of this and sorry i got interested after you made the neetswing
...the battlestation /g/ deserves but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hate him, because he can take it. Because he's not an hero. He's a shitposting /g/entooman. An omnipresent troll. A derp knight.
Yeah netflix does suck i have it for free because of some radio shack phone deal but i have to say im a fan of your battle station or shed whatever you want to call it looks cozy almost like a college dorm minus the bathroom of course
What to buy next:
>New second monitor
Also want new headphones, any recommendations?
If you have the money, get some AKG Q701/K702 and a decent headphone amp like mine (>>43147483). I upgraded from the Siberia's that you have an the sound difference is incredible.
Pic related. The wonky tube in the pic has now been adjusted.
>pretty hard to get in my country
3mins on google
transferring to mini itx
this is my dirty LAN station also
/k/ ruins everything, why do you small dicked clappers have to argue over who's gun is better. Can't even stay on topic and makes me think you manchildren are out of touch with reality and shouldn't be allowed to have guns.
> she has stuffs that wheighs up real good
>What are you buying next?
I think I'm going to purchase a Ducky Miniv2 whenever that comes out.
That's the exact one i bought.
Sorry I'm a bit clueless about this but what if you needed to printscreen? And what about page up/down, or need to scroll up and down with the arrows?
>pointing speakers towards you
If you have them both facing the same way you get a louder sound to your ears (pic related)
louder? maybe. that's not the point of speakers though. that kind of positioning of the monitors in relation to the listening position will completely ruin the imaging. high frequencies are very directional. you should always align the tweeter pointing towards your head if you want accurate sound reproduction. even with waveguided drivers the high frequencies literally disappear if you move yourself out of the acoustic axis. those are some cheapo M-Audio monitors but still, the principle is the same.
.223 and 5.56 are almost the same round, just different measruements.
a 5.56 is a .22 with extended brass.
so it has the same characteristics of a 22, once it hits bone, game over.
.22 is a hell of a round.
buttstation = irl ricing
I just got a shitty rubberdome keyboard from goodwill for a 1.50 (Compaq RT101) and after i clean it up I want to go full rice-a-roni on it.
I need ideas. So far i only have 'paint it black'.
>These terrible quality photos were brought to by the Nexus 4. I'm hoping the Galaxy S5 Alpha is released very soon, or I'll buy the Zperia Z2 over the internets.
why don't you get off your high horse faggot.
But anon you're forgetting you're pure scum. If you died, rotting away in front of your computer. Would anyone care? No. the world would continue without you.
You are a nobody.
I've known you since you first came here.
You see anon, there are just three inhabitant of 4chan. You, Moot and I. We're all that post here, every post is one of us. Let that sink in for a moment.
Goal of the now
Get a new fucking desk from ikea
Can people stop posting 4mb photos of their station? I don't need to see the dust on your desk, come on.
Goal of the future
Get some fucking k702s and a little dot 3
Also a pair of asus 7970s
and some new hard drives
Finally getting a proper tower, to replace the Asus G750JW I got last year (that I'm having big performance issues with... changed OS, added another HDD and switched out RAM, still have memory issues. But, I digress), so I decided to totally re-do my battle station. I'm getting a new desk and wanted /g/'s opinion on it as a game station.
My plan is to get a monitor arm to mount on the back of the lower platform to hold two monitors, and build some other desk out of press/ply-wood just to have as extra space.
Games crashing, freezing, not responding, screen going black randomly. Before I changed the RAM I often got a BSOD showing the error MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (0x0000001A ). I had assumed it was a RAM failuer so I replaced it with some cheap DDR3 106000 sticks I got from best buy. No more BSOD's and less game failure but I still often crash or get weird performance issues. (Example: Playing L4D2, my game will freeze and repeat a snippet of audio until it recovers, but I can't move.)
I did use memtest86, it was a memory issue, I didn't know I was being unclear with that. But even after replacing the RAM I'm still having issues. I tries each of the original sticks individually and I could still boot the computer so obviously one alone was not the issue. I don't really know what the problem was but I didn't feel like dealing with it, plus I wanted a desktop anyways.
This is just also really off point, I just wanted opinions on a desk.
Next purchase will be the Asus PG278Q if it ever actually becomes for sale.
Oh and I am closing on my new home soon so I can return to my nice oak office desk instead of this 30 dollar table.
So instead of installing Ubuntu like most... I bought a book on linux. Chapter was essentially "HURR DURR THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OS'S AND APPLICATIONS"
Damn, son. How retarded are people?
but why didn't you go through the little porthole
btw, i am buying some land out in the hill country. so i'm gonna build a quadcopper to patrol my land. expect more awesome podracing than yours from me in ~6 months
yes, it is
>but why didn't you go through the little porthole
It was raining, which is why I was flying in a car park.
>btw, i am buying some land out in the hill country. so i'm gonna build a quadcopper to patrol my land. expect more awesome podracing than yours from me in ~6 months
I look forward to it!
5 minutes is a long time when you're in control of it from start to finish, and the flight times are variable based on equipment used. I could push 8-9 minutes of flight time out of it if I wanted, but that would reduce the agility the machine has. I've got it set up so it's reasonable fast for 5-6 minute flight times.
If I wanted long airtime FPV, I'd just build an FPV plane instead.
Not really. There are exposed electrical components. Even if they were shielded, there's still the issue of moisture damage. You can build ones that have better protection if you wanted, but it's not advisable to fly them in the rain. It's akin to sitting on your front lawn using your laptop while it's raining.
I kinda like what's going on with the right half of that desk, shame it's not wider.
Purchase a NanoQX and learn how to fly. While doing such, google the fuck out of everything before building one. Realize that it'll be a heavy investment in both time and money if you wanna do things right. The more time you spend learning about what parts affect what, how to do this and that and what skills and tools are required, the better.
>except for the fact that CRT monitors are worse in almost every way.
Those things consume more power than your average computer
He/she/it has no excuse, especially if they're in the market for a desk.
Idunno, every time I see that battlestation it aggravates me.
Ausfag reportin in
>inb4 shitty desk
I know it's shitty but can't do anything about it for a while
sunlight from the skylight is blinding me right now
I don't know what ever happened to the coziest man alive, but I'm posting an old picture of his station.
>better input devices
what do you mean? i'm using a majestouch 2 with mx blues and some old basic gaming mouse
also, i don't know what the desk is. i nabbed it from an old office. it's a bit too deep for my liking, so i'm going to build a new one soon
I want to buy some material to build a table.
>mfw all these 5000x5000 images
Massive, out of focus photos that wouldn't fit on a 4K TV are trash.
I don't bother looking at them anymore, unless the room is as large and interesting as >>43161823
i was looking through some old discs the other day and found a picture of my old compaq work laptop circa 1997. the altec lansing speakers were mine, and they cost 24 bucks at the time. i still have them and they are probably the best electronics purchase i have ever made in terms of durability and the amount of use i have gotten out of them.
