Old one is sinking
My first legit battlestation photo in almost a year
>Audioengine A5+ Speakers
Some safari wallpaper from the 60's
Have some AKG Q701's and a Little Dot Mk II on the way.
>free means it's okay to show off to other people, claiming it is okay and that they should buy it, furthering the support of horrifically badly developed games based off of your own ignorance to games that are more fun and aren't being made by heartless companies (This isn't just EA, the anti EA thing is as bad and ignorant as they claim EA to be.)
you fucking sicken me
Get off of /g/, Why are you even on here if you don't purely support free software?>>43126532
Just a neat glass bowl I filled with some christmas lights. Makes up a rather neat "lamp".
Nice dazor lamp.
Jelly of that headphone gear.
Nice "ThinkPad" keyboard. Always wanted to try one of those.
That's a very interesting desk.
Nice headphone stand.
Looking forward to the new desk, will finally have some more room.
Work is slow this summer.
Also my 50mm should have come today but it didn't :(
First time i've ever posted in one of these
Summer vacation drawing to an end, busted back so i´m back infront of the station again!
Everything varies, I do neither of those though, I put iTunes, news websites, Skype, my emails, calendar, reminders, or pretty much anything else that could use the extra vertical space in the side monitors. I also usually split the 30" in half with two separate programs at the same time, unless I'm watching something or editing photos.
I need to get a new picture, but i still like it.
Actually what is happening. Testing with an upside down pic
WiP (laptop hooked upto the monitor and speakers) Case is only a husk at the moment
>monitor mounted too high and at a neck breaking angle
nope, it's perfect
>half a laptop
nope, thinkpad usb keyboard
nope, lemon water
2/10 Why is there so much shit on your desk? Have you no pride?
>Anime tits mousepad
>your table a shit
4/10 Australel, also razer faggot
5/10 nice peripherals
7.5/10 Sick Nixie clock, audio setup. Needs some wall decorations.
3/10 don't even know where to begin
5/10 sterile as fuck.
6.5/10 Sterile as fuck, but in a good way.
I'll put the tv elsewhere but I have to buy longer hdmi cable first.
winter journey theme + pic related
This is what it looks like when the curtains are up (old photo)
My only gripe with it is that it is a bit flimsy to attach monitor mounts straight into, Seems to be reinforced with a woven pattern of cardboard. But yeah lot´s for the money still.
Cat is love.
It's custom made.
Here's my work station.
3 24" for my Linux workstation tied to the company's network
1PC for email, external communications, MS Office etc.
jep the Zensors are really good speakers
these all look nice and comfy
My next purchase will be a korean monitor to replace the 23".
When you put your foot through that bass driver while furiously masturbating, don't come running to me.
Blue is a really backward colour for a wall and that car is for panzies.
Hey, that monitor on the right, is that a LCD one called 1908FPc? I'm thinking about buying it because it's a perfect side fit for my s2440l, so how do you like it? What's your main screen by the way?
I'm mainly concerned because of the quality difference of both displays of course, but I was told you shouldn't mind the quality of your second screen that much, specially for beginners.
how are you connecting those monitors to your MBP? The explanations I find online all involve buying special 'adapters' that require drivers and just seem like really roundabout ways
walk across the hall into your mum's room.
Also what does me pointing out how bland, similar, and tasteless those 4 battlestations have to do with my battlestation? Having a better battlestation does not make my opinion more legitimate just like having a bad battlestation does not devalue my opinion.
Sorry but I don't buy things that don't have a function; colorful mouse pads, little figurines, plants, pictures, wall painting, fancy clocks...anything else that you find aesthetic and cozy, I find to be a waste of money.
Still waiting on my speakers to get here. I hate APO shipping.
>/g/ told me to get 3 monitors
>/g/ told me to align them vertically
>/g/ told me "minimal" is best
>/g/ told me to get a mechanical tenkeyless
>Razer is the best xD everyone says so
>Macs because i am a creative individual just like the advertisements told me.
I think they generally like to build their stores in far away places where no one lives and everyone has to drive at least 25 miles to it. I think it's a business strategy so costumers have to buy something to make it worth the trip. You get less window shoppers. Just a theory though.
>>/g/ told me to get 3 monitors
I have had a multi monitor setup for nearly a decade, long before I ever stumbled upon this god forsaken place
>>/g/ told me to align them vertically
No, logic told me this...having that much vertical space on either side is very functional.
>>/g/ told me "minimal" is best
Nah, just a product of my boring personality, right?
>>/g/ told me to get a mechanical ten keyless
This might be true...
>>Razer is the best xD everyone says so
I have tried tons of mice, death adder is my favorite, made this decision on my own
>>Macs because i am a creative individual just like the advertisements told me.
I like MacBooks, always have. Owned a Apple laptop since the G4 powerbook.
Why are you so mad though.
well you better make it worth the trip and buy some particle board furniture that will break in a month! Don't forget to leave some money to buy food at their food court, you know this will be a whole day trip.
Samsung sync master 244T on the sides
DELL 2407WFP in the center
with a box fan on both the side pannel of the rig and stuck in the sliding outside door, the room stays pretty cool
>Where do your feet go?
on the bottom shelf, top shelf if i wanna strech em out
>Why do you have two chairs?
in case friends come over
>Why do you keep the tower on the desk?
lately, my motherboard has been having heat problems (its probably the heatsink between my cpu's but i'm gonna upgrade to z97 anyways)
>Why does your floor look like plywood?
the floor isn't furnished atm
>Why do you keep boxes as decorative items?
so i don't have to pull up a speccy every time a friend comes over...and without em the top would feel empty
nice view, nice desk, poor otherwise
somewhat decent - where's the audio at?
nice desk but shit/10
nice desk but incredible lack interface/10 - crappy
nice desk but lack of interface - half decent
more interface bitch
go invest 30$ at flea market and you're ok
better than most in here
It would be nice but your desk is a piece of shit
desk is nice but else is shit
abundance of interface is nice but that desk looks horribly cramped
decentish - lack of interface
Otherwise would be great, but keyboard and mouse don't belong in a tray.
mediocre, but has space for loads of interface
How do you make the TV on top not fall down or anything? Planning on doing pretty much what your battlestation looks like.
AKG Master race.
Super shitty day, bros. #blogging #fightingforbettergrade
Does the quality difference between them bother you as in something that you keep noticing and thinking about it? I have a S2440L and I'm thinking about getting a 1908FPc that seems to fit perfectly the screen height of my monitor. Would you say it's worth it or that there's potential buyer's remorse ahead? Never had dual monitors so I dunno how it feels like.
Processing seismic data for oil & gas exploration.
The actual processing is all done on the Linux system through the companies network. My workstation communicates with the RAID and processing node cluster.
still under construction. literally built it an hour ago or rearranged rather with the new table and stuff.
I use my side monitors for casual internet browsing and text editors so no remorse at all. As I said, they do they job I want them to. For photoshop and photo editing I use my main IPS monitor
I've got the 15" retina MBP with dual graphics cards, I believe this is the only model that works with three monitors. Got two hooked up via minidisplayport to displayport, and one via a DVI to HDMI cable.
How does it work? Where are the blades?
If you're still around, I'd like the wallpaper~ And nice and clean setup, maybe too little space for mouse and keyboard since I have gotten used to move my keyboard and mouse quite freely. Otherwise it's not bad.
Im waiting for newegg to send my DVI-HDMI cable today, so I can hookup my second monitor
That's an interesting setup.
A lot of people really prefer multiple monitors to all be the same size, but I can see the logic in having a big central monitor for your main focus and a couple of smaller auxiliary ones for quick reference.
It does look good and symmetrical, since the two end monitors are both the same size.
This is like a nicer and more well-organised version of my station. Nice desk. 10/10
The speakers are Audioengine A2's. You can get them from Audioengine directly or amazon i believe. But I would suggest purchasing them from MassDrop . com. Most of the time they're on sale for 150-175 which is a nice discount considering they are not worth full retail price tag.
Oh shit nig, what are you doing?
>tfw you look away from your videogame to see your face reflected back at you and smash every mirror and window in the house in a fit of rage
Iced green tea with honey
You wouldn't believe how insanely good it sounds man
Had it hooked up to a 4x12 yesterday and it was louder than my bandmate's stack at about 1/4th volume
Can really recommend it if you like the sound
>being autistic enough to own an IBM
>not being autistic enough to own a better mouse.
BTW how does the darkvoice pair with the K612? Would be a decent purchase for my K712, at-least before it burns a hole in my desk
It's a steel series mouse and it works perfectly for me to be honest, I don't need any better.
Also, the amp is a Little Dot I+ not a darkvoice and the headphones are K702's not K612, but yes they sound amazing either way.
>tfw you will never know how to take HQ picture of your battlestations
In the process of moving, so have this old pic instead
I hope, man.
>Tiny Mass Effect merchandise-core mouse pad
>Logitech 'gaming' keyboard
I refuse to shit on people's battlestations for using cheaper gear than what's usually /g/ recommended because money is money, you have it or you don't. But that stuff retails at about the same price if not more than what more functional less-gimmicky stuff sells for.
what are you even talking about? those look like nothing but blacks pulled all the way up, nothing even worth mentioning even it took more than 5 seconds of copy and pasting
Just picked up the table - big upgrade for me. Lots of surface area.
This picture makes my ass look big, might take a new one with better lighting so it blends better.
Question for you guys:
Besides looking cool (which it does), what is the function of more than one monitor? Genuine question, i just want to know some uses you guys have for two/three monitors.
Are you willing you strip the paint, then stain and lacquer it? All those little spots where the paint is chipped make it look a bit shitty. At the very least you could touch it up with some paint. Aside from those little paint chips, it looks like a solid pickup.
It was $20 and I'm only living where I am for the next 5 months. It's a surprisingly mobile setup given the equipment.
It is a bit shitty but given the price and the how temporary it all is it's hard to justify sanding the fucker down. Great table though - good, heavy furniture. Old world piece - ain't like anything they make today.
I use my portrait for reading and browsing. It's also really handy for me to have all of the photoshop tool windows on it and the main image window on my landscape.
Anything solid wood is a nice find. You can refinish it however you want.
tfw Nikon D3000
I don't know these pleb feels
seriously dont need a good camera you can find like 14-16MP point n shoots for cheap as fuck used. My local pawn shop sells them for $5-15
All of monday playing japanese rhythm games.
Could life be any better?
