That machine doesn't actually do the bricklaying. The image makes it look like there's a big hopper that you just dump bricks on but in reality there are workers standing behind it laying the bricks and then a sloped conveyor belt takes them to the ground. It's less of a labor replacer and more of an ergonomic device.

White collar people all think badly of blue collars that are about to be automated. What they don't realize is that most jobs that happen on a computer can also be automated.

I was an outsourced developer for an insurance company a couple of years ago. The claims system I helped maintain was very good at what it did and saved the claims reps from having to manually do everything in a unix terminal, and instead was a point-and-click web interface.

One day I got roped into a support call with one of those users because the program was acting so erratically that the actual support department couldn't pinpoint anything useful. As I was talking to her she commented that she was happy her job couldn't be replaced by robots like her brother's. Her brother was a factory worker.

She didn't realize it at the time, but around 60% of incoming claims were handled completely automatically. The system signed its work with fake human names and was programmed to occasionally make typos or other very basic but harmless mistakes so nobody would notice its uncaring perfection. The 40% that was left were sent to the claims reps, and their input was copied and applied into a machine learning system. Within the next year or so, all these claims reps, some of whom had been working for 30 or 40 years and make a great salary, will be laid off and be replaced by a small team of idiots making $11/hr to answer basic customer support questions and fill out forms that prompt the robot to take certain actions on an account. The companys turnaround time on claims will go from days to hours to minutes, and their number of employees will decrease by around half.

I personally enjoy my job. Some of us who specialize in automation have our rationalizations, or just like money, but I personally just want to see how bad the world can get before we're forced to come up with something better. If you use a computer at work, you better have an exit strategy.

Agreed 100% but the entire interview is excellent. I had to watch it before hand to make sure it wasn't a slide show with shitty music interposed, as is often the case with these types of videos.

And even then it misses the most important of the interview, where he talks about how Hollywood stars that broke down in public and how they have to be very strong people in the first place to get there, that something really wrong is happening in Hollywood.

>>43024221
Youtube is what made me aware of this, seeing it in this video is pretty much undeniable proof that Hollywood stars are routinely drugged and mind controlled for weird fetish purposes. It's absolutely horrifying.

Well it is replacing patent researchers in the medical and chemical fields right now. So the person you're replying to is right in terms of it replacing lawyers, patent lawyers who have backgrounds in medical or chemical science are pretty expensive.

It's also why during that episode of Jeopardy IBM executives were constantly praising it as being potentially useful in the medical field.

Eventually structural unemployment will get so bad that every family will have several NEETs. People care about their children, brothers, sisters, and relatives and don't want to see them starve. Starving is something that's pretty easy to notice, so politicians who don't deliver adequate welfare for them will be held accountable to a minimum amount.

Until the rich can buy a robot army to simply slaughter the useless eaters.

Hypercapitalist libertarianism eventually follows the technological path to mass genocide. It's the only way that stability could be regained if you insist on sticking to libertarian principles.

it takes a little practice to do it properly. when you're about two seconds or a second and a half away, you have to move your hand up on your cock to grab the very end of your foreskin, while still jerking off. if you stop your jerking to grab your foreskin, you'll have a lackluster orgasm (I shouldn't have to explain that to you). if you don't completely hold your foreskin closed, it'll leak out. if you grab too much of your foreskin, it'll keep your cum from coming out of your dick at all, which will hurt. once you get it down though it's super effective and makes cleanup a fucking snap

>Why would robots need humans for energy?

They wouldn't. In the original script they were harvesting the brains as processors which sort of makes sense, it's much easier to breed humans and keep them in tubes than to build a computer or computer parts as complex as a human brain. They changed it because it would have been to difficult to explain to audiences so instead of having that they have a guy show a standard AA battery and say that they're harvesting humans for energy.
>>

>>
>>43028031
Wouldn't stem cells be a better way to make general neural nets?
I mean, the human brain is fairly plastic, but there is a lot of it that is specialized for certain things.
I guess a good method would be using human brains as the things that run some of the "programs" in the matrix, like the agents.
>>
>>43028031
How would that have even worked with brains?

Neo would just be a brain for the opening scenes to happen, leaving no body to rescue.

The energy content of the nutrition given to them is higher than the energy content you get out. Basic thermodynamics.

>That's just one aspect of how The Matrix was changed because the ideas presented were too discomforting to the establishment.

I don't buy that explanation at all considering the ideas and themes pushed in it such as the major black leads, lesbian parents with an adopted child, all the bad guys are depicted as white(of course), promoting third world immigration with the parable of the sentient computer program wanting to live in the matrix as a human family being Indians, the strong feminist and Marxist themes... I could go on but it's safe to say that the "establishment" both funded, promoted and distributed this movie series without any issue whatsoever.

And for those thinking that is a pretty /pol/ like post remember that the Wachowskis aren't brothers anymore. They knew exactly what they were doing when they put those themes in there as they did with Neo's birthday. They even gave roles to people like Cornel West, prominent member of the Democratic Socialists of America and had this to say about how his works influenced the matrix:

>Mr. West revealed, in an interview published in the Los Angeles Times on May 20, 2003, that Larry Wachowski had invited him to appear in the sequels because:"He said my writings had been influential in his writing the movie. He had read my first book, 'Prophesy Deliverance!,' and 'Race Matters.' I was flabbergasted. He said he had written a role for me, Councillor West, and he wanted me to play it. I said, 'You've got to be kidding.' " West explained to the LA Times reporter that the movies are a "sophisticated work of art" that are intended by the brothers to promote a "fascinating" critique of "salvation narratives."

What is stopping a diversity from intercepting food tray and taking the meal?
What is stopping a diversity from fucking with the robot or knocking it off path?

>the average person in the 1800s totally was a more creative and knowledgable person than people today
Yes you look around and probably see tons of fucking retards, but how do you think we got here? Human progress is always made by a small percentage of the population, the rest of the population works all the manual labor jobs, but as automation takes over those jobs, more people are doing more technical and intelligent jobs. What was todays minmum wage job is automated tomorrow, what was todays good job is tomorrow's shitty minimum wage job, and todays great job is just a good job, and the great jobs are being created and discovered as technology is.

Well firstly, they're not cakes. Secondly, that's in japan where there are no niggers.
Technoparadises and robotic delivery actually works in a place where there are no niggers

I agree with your point, but your image bigs me. 1080p and 2160p video recording are both beyond pointless in a phone camera with it's ant's-fingernail sensor, and a lens that's barely any larger.

They would only do that with the androids that look and act like real humans
or with robots that look cute

Businesses in the states have already dealt with diversity when it comes to their vending machines by building cages around them. With robotic servers instead of having a whites only policy they'll just play classical music inside the restaurant or enforce a basic dress code.
