Those things only work if flash is used, and even then with the super high sensitivity of sensors nowadays they could still pick out enough facial features if they saved the RAW picture.

They sell a transparent covering that can be put over a license plate for those cameras, either comes in spray form that is hard to notice for human eyes but causes a blur in cameras or you have the darker ones that are a transparent LCD panel that the driver can switch on to black out the plates when he knows he's in view of a camera.

And no your car would not be invisible to speed radars. Learn how aperture radar works if you want to beat them, it's an involved process.

Ridiculous, they use FLIR not thermal imaging, and can see the heat from your breath if it's cold outside. It's just reflective material. I've seen it mostly on athletic gear, mainly Nike. The stuff Nike uses is from 3M but I don't think its available to consumers as I could only find their tape.

I have one of the Nike jackets that's covered in the stuff. Not only do photos get messed up but you sort of glow under any light source.
