larger than you'd think, but really nice to build in
It feels roomy on the inside and can handle 5 hard drives. Beware though, I don't think I've seen a reasonably priced ITX board that can give you 5+ SATA ports.
If you have a chance, do check out the case for wobbliness and see if it's worth it.
Currently working on my Battlestation. Cleaning up my desk, throwing some stuff out. I've seen some battlestations in the previous thread with a mousepad which is big enough to go underneath the keyboard and the mouse. Anyone knows where to get those?
Also, cable management with too short powercables for monitors can be bitch.
hello fellow poorfag, be happy that you at least have that setup
trackpad does not work, have to use index finger on rubber switch every time i want to space, no door covering for dvd drive, makes it obnoxiously loud
got some questions for you
>how did you end up living there?
>if you must stay there for a prolongedtime, why not empty and reorganize the place, have more space?
>are you employed?
>is the shed somewhere safe, like parent's backyard, or are you just exposed in the middle of nowhere?
>how do you get electricity?
Can't wait to know If I failed my exam or not.
If I passed, I'll upgrade my whole BS.
AMD QUAD-Core A105757M processor 2.5GHZ
6GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 12GB)
Can I run most modern games fine? More importantly, can I run games without lagging like a giant queer? Last, how much will the 2.5GHZ hinder me, despite having the option to go to 12GB ram?
Alternatively, since I have some money left.
Intel Core i5-3230M processor 2.6GHZ (3.2GHZ overclocked)
4GB DDR3 SDRAM (expandable to 8GB)
Which one is better? These are laptops by the way, that I want to add to my station.
>AMD QUAD-Core A105757M processor 2.5GHZ
>6GB DDR3 SDRAM system memory (expandable to 12GB)
This one is better. The A10's integrated graphics blows the i5's out of the water.
Pretty good yeah.
With AMD Enduro™ technology, your APU manages power automatically, giving you a boost in APU compute and graphics performance when you need it and throttling down when you don’t, for the battery life you need, when you need it most.3
Yeah the intel one is a fair bit faster for computing, but he wants to play games and the A10 would perform much bettor for that task.
Also you won't generally be doing many CPU intensive things on a laptop either.
What a crappy birthday.
Ah well, AKG's are finally getting ordered on Monday!
First new battlestation photo in over six months.
The clutter on the left is temporary.
did you get that netbook new or used?
would you recommend one? I have been wanting one for some time now as I'd really like a fully functional pc that is portable, and isn't a tablet
Used, for $30.
I liked it at first, but the touchpad isn't very responsive and the resolution is, well, shit.
The specs aren't bad for the form factor, but the battery it came with was pretty much DOA.
Overall, I would not recommend getting one. The EeePC lineup is really beginning to show its age, and they really get hot. If you want a small but functional laptop, I would go with an ultrabook or something like that.
The perspective on the picture is a little weird. When I sit, my head and most of my body is outside of the bunk's shadow. I can just stand up.
Dell U2414H. Here's a bic pen for reference.
thanks bruh, it's pretty sick
you mean smokin hot
>very small mousepad
Everything is good. Only thing you need to know though is that the base is quite big, so you will need a deep table, which is understandable since you can put it in portrait mode, move it to the sides, higher/lower the height, etc.
I'll ask in here to save making a new thread.
Can somebody recommend me a good PSU to buy? I don't really know which names are good and which aren't
At the moment I have some shitty XFX thing and its started to make a real loud ticking noise.
Finally found a nice wooden board for my new desk. Will probably put it together in the morning.
What to upgrade next? Thinking about getting a venue 8 pro
I've been considering getting one for media consumption, and visual novels on the go. Is it still worth getting even if I have a nice laptop? I do get tired of dragging it around when I go places.
>I'm kinda waiting for it to die
It won't die my friend.
It's great, I just get a micro usb - usb adapter and plug in a wireless mouse if I want to get work done.
It's perfect for media and books.
Love my Venue 8 Pro by Dell™!
It's simply amazing that it give you Windows 8.1 and Office Home & Student 2013 wherever you go with an 8” HD screen, a quad-core Intel® Atom™ processor and dual cameras!
I use my lumia 1520 at the moment to watch a few things. last time I charged that was almost two weeks ago, and there's still 30% on the battery. being windows phone 8 is super limiting. If only I could flash android to it, it would be perfect.
my only concern is if 32 might be too limiting for space.
Dont judge my cables, was still playing around with monitor placement.
Just re-organised today.
my other one broke and it either a new one or SSDs. I chose SSDs.
Need to update mouse and buy mousepad, but any suggestions, rates etc?
Thanks man. That's an old picture, changed it up a bit to make it cleaner.
Nah, my chair reclines a bit and the TV mount has -5 degree tilt. I usually just pull the TV out from the wall and watch in bed. Again, pic related. (rest of room looks like shit because i'm moving out soon)
Regarding the BB stuff, they're one offs. However the guy that did them has some other sick stuff and he does commissions.
When I first posted on here, my desk was facing the wall the BB art is on, with the TV to my right, before someone on here recommended having it like it is now. Can confirm having it like this is 100x better.
It's a Wacom Cintiq13HD. I use it every day, and I don't use it like in the video. I'd have to be hella hunched over to get comfortable enough to do anything on it.
I usually slide it towards the edge and have the keyboard on my lap as i draw or animate with it.
Cintiq13HD as well as the Cintiq Hybrid can be used as separate screens.
>IMO one of the great things about using a tablet is that your hand doesn't block what you are doing.
This is one of the most annoying things about the cintiq tbh. I came from a Intuos4 Medium and used it for 3 years. Impulse purchased a Cintiq and it's really hard to get used to your hand blocking everything, but to be honest I definitely can't see myself going back to a Intuos.
where do i collect my award for gayest battlestation?
going on a month and the speakers havent fallen yet
Your desk is tasteful. Nice pink speaker ornaments.
Bonjour faggots. How is this fine nuit going for everyone?
>mfw not sure if you picked that frame on purpose or not
given the lack of airflow that probably plagues your poor computer, i wouldn't be surprised if it sounded like a horrible monster and you chose that frame with those subtitles intentionally. if so, bravo.
the atrocities taking place in that room, of course !
Holy fuck, isn't it obvious ?
white speakers, marijuana plant, pony's.
And if that wasn't enough, those two monitors hanging there like a french prostitutes norks !
I mean JEEEEZUS
Finished a new quadcopter.
She's a bloody beauty and easily the fastest thing I own yet.
It's cold tonight, I had to go get a blanket
Can you really, REALLY look back on all the years you've wasted on that game? We have actually reached a point where we have to hide behind our computers to talk to fellow men, and have digressed to leading pathetic lives
Believe me, I played an MMO for 2 years, albeit it may not have been the same game, I still played one. It affected me to the point where I would go to sleep past 11, and wake up at 5 AM and I was only a boy at that time
Perhaps you will claim I have a more addictive personality than you, and that might be so but there is no way you can deny the time you've lost, and when you finally realize that you have got to let the rotten game go, you'll be reluctant to
But Alright anon, have your fun even if you lose your real life huh?
I'm not actually the guy who posted the WoW desktop, I'm
But anyway, I used to juggle MMOs and a regular social life for almost all of high school, I don't really have enough time for MMOs now, but I still enjoy gaming, especially when it's with other friends, even if we're just talking on skype or something. Why did you double space between all your lines
I feel that
I wish i ad just saved up more when I was buying that amp waited for something better, I haven't really used it much lately and have just been running into VST amp rack
Looks solid. I wish mine was made out of just one color, But I don't have enough pieces of the same color for that, I light end up ordering them lel.
I like your design a lot actually. The curved plate at the top are a good idea.
I might still some things for yours to finish mine.. hmmm
Yeah, all the parts are from the NXT and NXT 2.0 sets. i love the armour pieces, they come in handy so much.
Sennheiser HD 558. Really nice quality, but the bass is somewhat weak.
>having "friends" that judge you for what you own/do
That's not what a friend is, anon.
If they're going to talk in your back about things you own/do then you're better off finding REAL friend, not cunts who criticize everything that isn't in the right way if how they see things.
I completely agree, however, my original statement does not in any way relate to friendship.
To clarify: A girl can judge you unworthy of romantic attention and still be a nice person, worth talking to even.
But is that what you're aiming for Anon, with any girl who may happen upon your headphone stand ?
each to their own.
I recently got this laptop, and yeah, this has been my station for a year now because I'm hospitalized.
I was one of you about a month ago.
you are like me in a lot of ways.
The coziness is real.
Hit me right in the feels. I appreciate it. Thank you so much.
I'm abroad for my rehab.
How do you guys deal with being fatigued all the time?
>mfw I got that left monitor for $13 at a thrift store
Tell me, /g/. What needs work?
That's the one I have. They have a newer, slightly cheaper version:
IKEA's Volmar. Cost around 200-250, can't remember exactly. I like it much more than the Markus, although it isn't without it's faults as well.
Just out of curiousity, what do you consider to be a drone? What characteristics does something need to have, to be classified as a 'drone' in your eyes? Genuine question, not looking to pick a fight.
I was working on stockpiling parts and had finally received the frame a couple days ago, finished building it last night.
That makes two in a couple weeks that are nice and shiny
What's a good keyboard to get?
I started building my own pc almost done but i can't find a damn good backlit keyboard
I know /g/ likes to use a backlit keyboard that looks like the coolermaster quickfire
What's its name?
really like that picture behind centre monitor.yo
Anyone here used the IKEA Godvin legs? I have a 80" door slab and weighs probably about 70lbs alone. Will have about 30lbs of extra shit on them. I plan on using 5 Godvin legs, 4 on each corner and 1 in the middle on the back.
Sorry, forgot I was posting on a technology board. Need more technology.
What's your budget?
If it's really low, you can find an old door and use that as a desk. Set it on some filing cabinets and voila.
Or you could always check local craigslist/kijiji, tonnes of people selling used desks dirt cheap.
Thanks bro, you really mean it Anon-kun?
old pic, my interface broke
>Liking what I don't
