>>61892112
He legit thought the government was a step behind technology like it was the early 90's or something.
>>61892149
But the government invented all that. He cant be that silly.
He's mad good looking, I'll tel you that.
What went wrong?
Very little went wrong. iPads are fucking awesome.

Let's say I want to sign up to a website and hide my IP.
Would Cyberghost help protect me?
Thanks.
>>61891766
NO.
>>61891784
Doesn't need to be great security or anything.
I just don't want the average person being able to trace this new account to the same IP as my original.
>>61891766
well, literally none of proprietary vpn services will protect you
you should buy yourself a vps (or a dedicated server) and use openvpn/pptp on it, or at least you can use tor
I know half you fuckers don't even program, but to those you do, I'm curious: What is your development workflow like? What tools do you use? An IDE? A text editor + compiler + debugger + whatever else? Are you always on Linux?
Discuss.
dev is for faggots anyway, enjoy making the same as operations but with more stress
>>61891561
As you said, I'm just doing some low level programming, but I'm mainly doing it on vim and on linux. It's probably best that I install some kind of script to that it can compile or use a plugin for it. I'm betting some people here use emacs. Code in haskell and c++.
>>61891595
Can I get that in English?
Windows 10 ltsb or Windows 7?
macOS
>>61891382
Windows 7 if you need Photoshop, Office, vidya.
Windows 10, even LTSB is a meme.
>but but I have Ryzen
Spend 10 fucking minutes and find your motherboard's site and patch your USB drivers into your Windows ISO, works fucking fine for Asrock boards in my experience at least

Why aren't you using Gnu/Linux on your phone?
Is writing Gnu/Linux some kind of new meme?
I don't have autism
>>61891275
I would but I don't have root privileges, so I'm uncertain if I can install it on my chinkphone.
This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.

Does anyone here use i3 for just shitter pc tasks like browsing and word processing? Contemplating switching from something more gui based as aspects of the look / navigation / workspace management are appealing to me, but wonder if it's useful if you aren't opening 6 terminal windows and switching between them constantly or whatever.
>>61891089
i3 is as GUI as KDE is. Being keyboard controlled doesn't change how it is displayed.
>>61891222
icons tho
>>61891532
i3 is just a wm. You can change KDE's stock wm for any other including i3, xmonad or whatever. That way you have icons and all the benefits of a DE and still be able to use a tiling wm.

CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>G4560 - poverty-tier builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
>Vega soon.
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.

I made a german anonymous online bullying site.
Toughts?
It is page based meaning you can create a page for your own school to discuss and share gossip about classmates.
VPS is located in Russia, IP is protected via Cloudflare. VPS was bought with fake identity just in case.
Any potential in getting this shit popular? I got a few posts already but I'm rooting for more..

How do I turn my RPi3 into a media server that embeds them as .mp4 .mp3 etc. so it works for cytube?
I have no idea what to search for, and the creator of cytube won't tell me how to do it.

i did that with one of my rpi's. Went through a lot of bullshit trying to hack it together. Save yourself from the major headache: install gentoo on it. Honestly. Gentoo is made for the pi.
