Waterfox for me. It is literally just what I needed. Firefox without Mozilla, plus web extensions support past ver57. If uBlock Origin is too lazy to update by then it won't affect me. Nevermind the fact it was literally compiled without the telemetry, making it impossible for it to call home since it doesn't know how to, not anymore.
This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.

Advanced users of GNU/Linux (and I mean advanced), remember to try Source Mage GNU/Linux. True source-based distribution, and (in contrast with Gentoo and Arch) is:
Free from obfuscated and pre-configured code.
Fully committed to GPL, uses only free software (as in freedom) in their main package.
With even the documentation licensed as FDL.
Without 3rd party patches, sensible defaults or masked packages.
Doesn't need obfuscated python libraries, only bash.
No systemd (they've implemented their own init scripts system http://sourcemage.org/Init).
Uses clean dependencies as they came from upstream developers, which by the same provides instant updates.
Can heal broken installs.
Can also use flags.
Do you like Arch Linux's AUR? Do you like Gentoo's portage (or ports-like) package manager? With SMGL's "sorcery" you get all that. Making new spells (package build files) not found in the grimoire (repository of spells) is easy http://sourcemage.org/Spell/Book
Bash hackers welcome! Come and join http://sourcemage.org/
Installing SMGL is easy, here's the simplified process:
>boot a live Ubuntu (or whatever) USB drive
>go to SMGL website and download compressed archive of the base system
>partition and mount partition(s)
>extract the archive onto the new partition(s)
>chroot, set root passwd, hostname, configure network and locale, write fstab, install grub/lilo
>reboot
>compile a kernel (preferably the newest stable one from kernel.org)
>update sorcery, grimoires and the build toolchain
>rebuild the system (hold spells you've already built, so you don't build them twice)
The install guide will hold your hand through the whole process http://sourcemage.org/Install/Chroot
Do the chroot method, since the regular live ISO method guide is out of date currently.

>>61907944
You don't need to follow it to the letter.
>>61907876
The binaries are all out of date, it's only good as a source based distro
This thread is for the discussion of NyaaPantsu (pantsu.cat), a free (FOSS) torrent indexer, and other nyaa alternatives.
The aim of this project is to write a fully featured nyaa.se replacement in golang that anyone will be able to deploy locally or remotely.

>Why is Pantsu down/error 502?
Most likely because the team is deploying changes. Wait for a bit and refresh the page. It should be mostly stable now.

First for give us the boards back!!
>>61872187
What boards?
>>61872101
The cartel won, fuck off.
The vega proved disappointing as an upgrade from my Fury.
My 1080ti should arrive any minute now lads, been on AMD since 7000 series. And honestly, ive enjoyed every minute of it.
Lets see if all this teenage tier nvidia is so grate banter is real, which i doubt. Im sure its good and all, but i feel like a lot of it is hyperbole.
>>61955168
I had AMD cards from the 6000 - 400 series; now also running a 1080ti. It's been good to me so far, the weirdest part being that all of the extra tools and settings are locked behind the 'geforce experience' botnet. Also, new drivers were exciting when I had AMD cards because they would always improve performance, but with Nvidia they don't seem to do much and break some things (some random applications have the shadowplay fps counter in them for some reason now).
>>61955168
Just waitâ„¢ for drivers
>>61955168
nvidia has been the obv best choice since 970
but we need both to somewhat stay afloat so that we wont end up with another intel fiasco.
