First for Axon 7
How the fuck is Google allowed to censor anyone who isn't a hardcore leftist? I'm tired of that shit. Fuck google.

True, but selective enforcement of the rules is complete bullshit.
Which ad-blocker does /g/ use?
Do you turn it off for anyone, and if so, why? If not, why not?
AdNauseam, never turning it off because fuckem
>>61966104
Never heard of that, but that's actually pretty clever. Why hide everything when you can actively revolt against advertisers by clicking everything?

What is the ideal laptop screen size?
>15"
>"large"
since when?
last i checked, 15.4" was the median, and 17"+ was large
Wtf I use 15 on the go
It is a bit big I will admit
Been using a 11" Macbook air for three years now, is a good size.
Had a 14" 21:9 toshiba, liked it too. It was actually shorter than my current 11", about the height of an average 10"
I do like 10, but also really love the Vaio P's size, for the sake of the keyboard. I'd like smaller for pocketability, but by that point you start sacrificing the keyboard.
Really, I'd need 20 or so different mockups in front of me to tell you the ideal shape and size.

THANK YOU BASED INTEL

>1.8GHz i7
>1.6GHz i5
what?
>>61965709
Intel tries to compete with Zen in low power enviroments.
>>61965709
You missed the 1.7GHz i5 :^)
What advantages does it have over other distributions? I'm currently using Debian and thinking about trying it out.
You can stoke your e-peen with it.

If you want help:
>Assemble parts list
https://pcpartpicker.com/
>State the budget for your build (and country if not USA)
>List games/software you use often, as well as your monitor resolution + refresh rate
>Clarify your goal for build improvements: lower price or improved specs?
How to assemble a PC, select components & more (outdated)
https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Build_a_PC
CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>G4560 - poverty-tier builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good stop-gap between the 1500x and the 1200, only get a 1400 if you absolutely need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
>Good fucking luck even getting a VEGA right now
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor
>tfw need more fans, but have to use a fan splitter
Any cons to them?

https://videocardz.com/72123/amd-issues-official-statement-regarding-radeon-rx-vega-64-pricing
They know the stock volume was very very very low. They put the price lower for better reviewers score. $499 for a gpu bigger than Titan Xp + HBM, c'mon we are not stupid AMD...
>>61965106
Agree, this is a AMD bullshit: WHERE ARE THE AIB?
>>61965106
>We are working with our partners to restock all SKUs of Radeon RX Vega 64 including the standalone cards

debugging kubernetes calls
should have just stuck to servant-generated types, would have avoided these bugs but the haskell kubernetes lib is too heavy to pull in...
First for OCaml sucks.
Came across Ryan's dev blog, the creator of node JS: http://tinyclouds.org/optimistic_nihilism/
Found out he's autistic.
His posts are pleasant to read tho.
How's that article autistic?
Is having basic education and critical thinking and overlaying it in a blog in simple words that are easy to understand now considered autistic?
Do you have to be a sub-30 IQ and EQ troglodyte retard to be considered non-autistic these days? Do you even know what autism is OP you dumb shit?

It often does not help because it's basically a syslog. It may work for a DE, though.
Is raspberry pi worth it ?
It's a meme.
On a more serious note: there are some use cases where it is a viable option. However 95% of the people who bought one either don't know what to do with it or would've been better off with some other device.
No. Buy an orangePi
