I'm developing software for Linux, but I don't know what library APIs I can and can't use for a closed source program. I don't want to open source my programs or get sued lol.
At least with developing for Microsoft or Apple platforms, I'm 100% safe with using the GUI, Multimedia, Graphics library APIs they provide with the OS.
What do?
What the fuck are you talking about? It's possible to use open APIs when developing closed source software you dingus.
>>61884511
Steal whatever you want, you think freetards actually have the money to sue you with?
>>61884576
I don't know what libraries I shouldn't use/link to.
>>61884608
Not reusing code. It's only shared linking to libraries.
If i say "I DO NOT ACCEPT" loud and clear while "clicking where i was going to click", it justs installs, so i tought it was FREE!
Or atleast i say my own"terms of use" and then say, "if i click accept and you process data you agree to my terms of use, but i don't agree with yours."
Any of you guys do this?
>>61884499
What??
I used to do it when I was younger.
Nowadays I know that spoken statements are only legally binding if there's witnesses who can testify.
So if you ask your coworker to come from the next cubicle over, and indeed press accept while saying out loud "By doing so I am not agreeing to anything" then you've tricked the system.
Otherwise it's useless.
>inb4 you agree to something by clicking the button
You never agreed to this statement. You first need to agree that pressing button states acceptance of terms, and *then* press the button, thus really acknowledging them.
If there's witnesses that you didn't agree to the first, you never agreed to either.

If I wanted a Firefox that was faster but could only use Chrome addons, why wouldn't I use a Chrom* fork? Give me one reason.
If you can't, you're admitting that FF57 is redundant and self defeating.

Why does HP get so much shit for their laptops? This 2170p is the best laptop I've used in a long time.
>Great keyboard
Actually God tier when compared to MacBook or the Dell XPS series.
>Good touchpad
Small size, but sensitive and works without any issues for standard use. More advanced users should be using a mouse anyways.
>Runs very cool and quiet
Fan rarely, if ever, ramps up even when emulating games and the CPU rarely goes over 70°c when under heavy load
I can go on, but I'm sure you see my point.
So why do HP laptops have such a bad reputation on /g/ ?
They even have great Linux support...
>Great keyboard
>Actually God tier when compared to MacBook or the Dell XPS series.
Now try a thinkpad.
>Good touchpad
>Small size, but sensitive and works without any issues for standard use. More advanced users should be using a mouse anyways.
The buttons are too flat.

Also, only consumer HP shit is hated here. If you go to /tpg/ you will see that a few people also own elitebooks, and they aren't bad. But if you try consumer shit like pavilions, they are built like shit and literally fall apart after 2 years
hello /g/entlemen
My trusty deathadder is failing after 8 some years.
Whats the current best mouse for not too much money?
Deathadder still best?
