This is phone kino cringe
phew, i was worried we weren't going to talk about the iphone x design on this board.
I've never liked phones with white bezels, but there's just something about a silver iPhone 6 and later that really makes me want one. Are there any actual cons to owning a white phone? For example is the white bezel really distracting while watching videos?
>>62479702
Yeah. Get black bezels phone for media and games. White if you want to surf the web, apple ui was white list time I saw it, so you might as well get a white phone
White phones, and white phones with gold trim are marketed to women. It's a feminine color scheme. It's the same reason both Diet Coke (a woman's brand) and Coke Zero exist despite almost being the same product.
>>62479758
All modern apple products are marketed to a feminine audience. I don't see how the white iPhone is all that different than the space grey one
Riddle me this, why is it OK for Google to bundle Chrome on Android if MS was fined over bundling IE on Windows?
My S7 came with an "Internet" app.
usually they don't bundle it
the phone you're buying is a custom rom which comes with google chrome because there's some shit in the contract saying that both they have an agreement with google to offer it preinstalled besides plain android and that you actually want that and that's what you sign for.
>>62479774
and how is that different from some random MS EULA exactly?
Why is visual studio so bloated and buggy?
To help NET curry niggers to produce something useful.
It like any IDE has actual features that more than show their worth when you're making anything more complicated than a circlejerk hello world. If you kind of stick there, you'll just be fighting everything. Stick to vim or emacs and pretend you're superior to the other hello world shits.
>Auto complete that isn't shitty
>Refactoring tools
>Actually good debugging tools
>Can install vim extension for keyboard editing
>Easy and intuitive to understand
>Everything just works right out of the box
Have fun working on substantial projects with emacs, peasants.
An anon in /spg/ told me that I have SailfishOS going for me, since I have an Xperia X Compact, pic related.
However I think Sony has only officially licensed the regular Xperia X, and not the Compact model that I have.
So, what is the benefit of using SailfishOS instead of regular botnet android?
I fucking love that phone. Phone design done right.
just wanted to say that but I don't have an answer to your question OP.
>>62479394
now that is a sexy phone.
what a nice phone, simply beautiful
Please anons, can someone confirm me if you see this same message as I do?
I think government is taking down all catalan nationalist webpages.

>>62479346
Great if true
Catalan politicians are pedophiles and their politics in general are cancer
>>62479369
Go back to /pol/ please.
The normal website works for me (Finland). Wouldn't this censorship be actually counter-effective to the Spanish goverment? I imagine it would just fuel the fire for Catlaonian independence.

Nice read that talks about how IBM Watson is a knowledge supercomputer with a male voice while every AI assistants has female voice
TLDR - Check your privilege cis scum
>>62479292
Funny because the voice assistants are only female because people seem to like a female voice better.
Personally I wouldn't mind HAL/Jarvis in my phone but normies are too retarded to let anything cool happen.
you can change it, Apple probably only hasn't yet because people cry about change
>>62479292
TLDR I don't care :3
Who /comfy/ here?
Fuck off
Fuck off
Install gentoo

>>62479230

>>62479230
vim you fucking idiot
>>62479230
make that face again
Considering that domain registrars and DDoS protection services are willing to threaten or take down websites they don't like, it's time to move to distributed networks where someone can't take down content they don't agree with.
Anyone here used any of them? I started using ZeroNet, and in my opinion it's pretty nice.

So it's basically TOR, but on the surface and not underground?
>>62479473
No. Tor hidden services are centralized, and this serves completely different purpose than TOR, which tries to obfuscate your network traffic.
These solutions provide P2P networking where one's site is served by people who have visited it. Since there's no server that hosts your site, you can't be censored by the service provider.
>>62479548
Niggu, how about you host your own dns?
There is no point in this i suppose.
Is Mate the best DE?
Fuck I didn't notice the last thread

mi5?
oppo 8?
>web site offers multiple languages
>uses google translate
Google translate works pretty well nowadays
>>62478994
For single words yes, for full sentences it is very inconsistent
>>62478994
I was gonna meme by writing "What did he mean by this?" in my native tongue to Google translate and translate it to English, expecting a garbled response, but it returned the exact correct phrase. So I guess you're right.
are turbo chargers bad for your phone's battery life?
1.0 amp chargers are fine, 2.1 isn't really meant to be use with phones but if its a decent enough phone it'll test the charger and charge at the rate its able to.
best bet is to just get a proper reliable brand charger, no trolling/shilling but Apple chargers are probably some of the best for whatever phone you have
>>62478687
>if its a decent enough phone it'll test the charger and charge at the rate its able to.
I would assume all phones do this
>>62478728
ive seen some chink phones that'll ramp up the current draw until they detect a voltage drop from the charger, i only mentioned that because i wasnt sure any other phones did that or if they just took whatever they were given
Am I the only one who finds default GNOME3 ergonomics to be ok? Every time I see somebody using GNOME he always runs some kinda of a rice that makes the DE look like W10 rip off. BTW the only extension I use is Pixel Saver so that I could unsee these huge titlebars when I snap or maximize windows.
>>62478629
Gnome shell is ok. Yes, it has some annoying things like the file picker not having an icon view grid with big thumbnails but otherwise if you balance its pros and cons it's very good. I prefer Plasma tho but that's just my personal preference.
>>62478629
Also I used to be a KDE guy but got tired of it's quirks and features.
>>62478629
>Every time I see somebody using GNOME he always runs some kinda of a rice that makes the DE look like W10 rip off.
You sure they aren't running KDE?
