I'm thinking of installing a linux OS on my MacBook.
Which is the best linux for a Mac user?
I've often wondered whether the linux experience would be different on a different platform (PowerPC, UltraSPARC, DEC Alpha)
Gen2

I installed Debian Gnome on my mbp, runs well. It's pretty cozy and seems not to have any issues. Just take heed that once installed it's a bitch to remove since Grub likes to take over.
Why aren't you using Brave, /g/?

Its shit on desktop
*yawn* Why should I?

Why?
Thank you Russians
>>62010734
Well, I think that there are people from other countries besides just Russia that are also working on it.
>Linus, it's Bill. The time has come.
>Activate the Linux backdoor.
Linus:
>>62007942
It's already active. It's called a package manager.
>>62008562
ZING!
oh wow. package managers btfo.
I hate gnu plus linux now.
RAID 10 would only fail under extraordinary circumstances, right?
>>62007842
It would take 2 disks to fail at the same time: and they would have to be both 1 and 2 or 3 and 4. you could tolerate loosing 1 or 2 and 3 or 4. So if 2 disks fail at the same time, 1/3 times you are fucked. But 2 disks failing at the same time is rare.
>>62007842
It's not that hard to fall into 'extraordinary circumstances'.
For instance: Say you buy a 4 HDDs which all end up being from the same manufacturing batch. Now one of them fails around 4 years in, so you replace and rebuild the array. However during the complete data copy, the strain finishes tearing down the parallel drive, and RIP all your data.
tl;dr don't buy the same batch and keep an offsite backup.
i just did a little more reading, and apparently your entire RAID is fucked if you have to rebuild and there is a single read error
it seems that you can't have peace of mind with a RAID setup unless you have full backups, but i don't know how practical that is when you have over 30TB of data

RX Vega is shit.
Wireless or wired.
Which are the best for general gaming? I have the Logitech M305 and it's not precise enough and ignores some of my input. Looking for one under $50.
>>62007046
i don't know. ive tried these:
Logitech:
G602
G403
G502
G903
G703
MX Master
All shit. Either somethign was wrong with the clicks, or it felt like shit. HATE the g502/g602 because of the fucking "gamer" buttons that hit your thumb everytime you hold the mouse.
Right now i'm using a zowie ec1-a but it's a pile of shit and not worth the $60 i paid for it. looking for a new one but logitech is so bad i don't know any other options.
>>62008579
Ever think you're just insatiable?
Logitech g600. The side buttons I actually use more outside of games than I do in games.
Found this old portable analog tv in a box. It still works fine on the radio side but the tv portion of it doesn't work obviously. Does /g/ have any ideas on how to get it to run digital channels? I've heard references to the external antenna port and the headphone port somehow connecting that to a converter box but I have no idea how to do that. Is it possible to save this shitty black &and white tv /g/?
Google digital converter box, they even sell them at Walmart. Cute tv.
You literally just buy a digital TV tuner box and plug it into the TV and an antenna. You may need a balun if the TV doesn't have a coax connection on the back.
>>62006973
No coax just an external antenna port and headphone port like I said. Here's a pic of the back if it helps
>guy at work has pictures on his phone
>these pictures could get me fired
how do i remove these pictures from his phone, short of taking his phone and smashing it?
is there any way for me to take control of his phone remotely and completely wipe it/ destroy the memory?
thought about having a guy mug him but that's too risky

Barely, they're basically slaves, just without violwnce.
I can't load the amdgpu drivers because I get a segmentation fault trying to compile the kernel module... truly an epic platform
And yes I am running the most recent bios firmware.
This is what I deserve for leaving Intel and nvidia

Have a bunch of memory, be fast, support AOSP
>>62006062
Not op but my Xiaomi redmi note 3 pro I bought for €160 almost one year ago works like a charm with lineage os. And now is cheaper. And it's not the best value (just look at the zuk z2).
With chink shit you really get good performances for less than 200 burgers.
>>62006062
>Have a bunch of memory, be fast, support AOSP
..and you'll do what with this?
making phonecalls, browsing internet and checking mail doesn't need a quantum computer, even old ass pre-smart phones can do that.
redpill me on windows 10 LTSB - it sounds like something that circumvents mostly everything people complain about re: botnet
pic unrelated
Is there even a crack for it? Last time I tried it I couldn't get it activated properly
