I repaired my friend's monitor by replacing and soldering new components on the power board circuit and it's finally powering on. However, the screen is dark or almost black but you can see the desktop, login screen etc. If you encountered this problem, please let me know how to fix it.

This is what it looks like. Halp. It was just three components but I used some with a higher voltage since people said it's fine as long as the capacity is the same.

Whether to use an antialiased vector or an aliased bitmap font seems to be a personal choice. But is there any actual evidence for which one is better/easier on your eyes on a normal DPI LCD?

Why wouldn't you want anti aliasing except for being a hipster or something of that kind?

either some fukkin scam, just kill that frame with an adblocker or if it's legit then use a VPN, it will probably help. Download Windscribe, enter 50GBFREE coupon and you're good to go with 50GB / month for all of your sick needs. Or, sign up for protonvpn, but beware that they are apparently "overwhelmed" and they'll put you on a waiting list.

My fucking users are revolting becouse they want some goddamn adobe reader instead of SumatraPDF and microsoft office instead of LibreOffice.

They dont even have any valid reasons, they want it 'just becouse'.

Im reducing software with malicious features as much as possible wherever possible.
How do i avoid letting users use proprietary software without getting fired?

I can understand thepdf one but libreoffice is 10 years behind office. If they're doing intensive spreadsheet stuff nothing is better than excel and if you think otherwise you're dead wrong

MS Office is way more intuitive than Libre.

Low on precious screen real estate, or busy massaging your carpal tunnel
wrists damaged by waving a mouse around like an idiot? A tiling window manager
might be for you!

> Freedom from the mouse
With any decent twn, you're hand almost never has to leave the home row.

> High customizability
All well known twms are built with customizability in mind, either through a
config file, command line options, or in the case of dwm, editing the source
code directly.

> Efficient use of screen space
because each new window will split the screen one level further, the available
screen space is used optimally (yes, even when using gaps).

> L I G H T W E I G H T
using a tiling window manager forgoes the need for a bloated DE, simply
install any necessary software on top of the window manager to build exactly
the system you want with no cruft!

> Resources
i3wm - https://i3wm.org/
Babby's first twm, easily customizable from a central config file, has sane
defaults. Usable out of the box.

bspwm - https://github.com/baskerville/bspwm
Binary Space Partitioning Window Manager
bspwm is a tiling window manager that represents windows as the leaves of a full binary tree.

dwm - http://dwm.suckless.org/
Dynamic Window Manager written in C.
Slightly higher learning curve than most other twms, basic knowledge of C is
necessary for configuration as it takes place in the header file. Very
lightweight.

awesomewm - https://awesomewm.org/
Supports lots of features out of the box, less initial configuration necessary than some others.
Shares the concept of tags with dwm which can be more flexible than workspaces

herbsluftwm - https://www.herbstluftwm.org/
Manual twm with similar tiling system to i3
Can be reconfigured on the fly using herbstclient

Because I don't feel like installing a new distro, reconfiguring everything and have less packages than what I have if I just keep using Ubuntu.
