Sooo, Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) now charges $4.95 a month in order to use Wi-Fi, even if you provide your own router with Wi-Fi capabilities. I honestly think it's BS and i'm wondering if there is any way around it. I can see my router broadcasting a signal but there is no connection.
>>62055491
I provided my own router and they don't charge me
>>62055491
I provided my own router when i signed up 3 years ago and they just charge me $40/mo for 60/4.
Every year I threaten to cancel and they give me another year at the starting price.
Just call them and tell them to "turn your WiFi off." Sound really stupid about it though. Act like you know nothing about computers and only use your phone anyway.

Chairs are technology, right?
What do you sit your fat ass on?
A recliner. Shit's pretty cash.
Tried to buy a new chair a couple months back but it turned out the fucking thing wasn't even high enough so i sent it back and got a refund, now i just keep using the old one with a bunch of pillows added
Staples Hyken mesh chair, only paid $120 for it on sale. Beats the shit out of the chair I was using beforehand, and actually stopped the lower back pain I was having.

Are here any advantages on using window managers like i3 over desktop environments? Or are they just a meme? Why/why not?

What kind of skills are required for a sysadmin job?
Are certifications required?
Are you on your feet all day, or is it laid back like I imagine it to be?

No i5's unless cheap. Consider waiting for Coffee Lake (1 month). 8700K is certain to be the fastest gaming CPU, will be competitive in productivity tasks vs 8-core Ryzen.
>G4560 - poverty builds
>R3 1200 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R3 1300x - Good bridge between the 1500x and 1200, only get a 1400 if you really need multithreading
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners increased prices, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser

Consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor
