Which one? X10 seems like overkill. Would the X6 be sufficient? What about the Asus RT-AC88U: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016EWKQAQ/

"Infinity fabric on Vega is optimized for server. It's a very scalable fabric and you will see consumer optimized versions of it in future."
https://twitter.com/GFXChipTweeter/status/902899280226131968
So Vega rerelease in 2018 with proper performance? Basically everything Raja Koduri says about this product does nothing but worsening the whole situation. More importantly - have early RX 56/64 adopters been screwed and this Tweet is the evidence for it?
>>62170558
Early adopters are almost universally screwed every time. It's not an exception.
>>62170558
IF appears to be a pretty minor piece of Vega's architecture, sitting only between the graphics engine and the IO and codec blocks and not in between or inside Shader Engine blocks.
Of all the things I'm interested in or concerned about Vega, IF is not one of them.

Does anyone use MPC-HC with SVP? If so, is the experience of a higher frame rate genuinely enjoyable?
I've watched a few videos at 60 FPS on YouTube and it just looked off in a way.
> No, I don't want to install MPV or Gentoo.
>>62170539
Soap opera effect. Some people like it, some don't.
Pick your side.
>>62170539
I'm using it on my 144hz monitor and fast motion looks insane at 144fps. I can't watch anything without SVP now.
I prefer how 60fps looks but not enough to bother to set it up and use my gpu as a space heater.
I don't really notice the visual artifacts people complain about much either.

HOW DO I GET PEOPLE TO RESPECT MY FREE SOFTWARE?
YES, LINUX IS BETTER THAN WINDOWS
THE COMMAND LINE MAKES IT ALL THAT MUCH BETTER
YES, LIBREOFFICE WRITER IS BETTER THAN WORD
YES, LIBREOFFICE IMPRESS IS BETTER THAN POWERPOINT
YES, LIBREOFFICE CALC IS BETTER THAN EXCEL
BLENDER IS A GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO 3DS MAX AND AUTOCAD
GIMP IS JUST AS GOOD AS PHOTOSHOP
INKSCAPE IS JUST AS GOOD AS ILLUSTRATOR
AUDACITY IS A GOOD AUDIO EDITOR
AND PITIVI IS A GOOD VIDEO EDITOR
if you would have a job, you would know that no proper company would use austist software like libreoffice
>>62170417
This. When you actually have a real job with real responsibilities, you use software that actually works, and whose upkeep/updates isn't reliant on neckbeards working for free.
Libreoffice is better at none of those things. It is simply a free office suite that while impressive, is just there to have some semblance of Linux/Windows office compatibility. Stuff like .docx still has broken formatting.
Blender is nowhere near professional CAD software
Neither is GIMP
The only thing Linux has going for it is the terminal and overall ability to do everything from terminal. For turbo-normies though, that means absolute fuck all compared to a decent GUI.
dumb frogposter
not sure if this is the right area but it seems the best fit.
just booted up an old garmin nuvi 1490 that's been in my garage for years, but all the map data is gone. garmin wants me to pay 50 bucks for maps, ya right fuck off.

Hi /g/ right now im using Acer Aspire One D270 which is pretty shitty, even on Debian 9.1. I can buy a Thinkpad T410 with i5-540m, 8GB ram, 320GB HDD and Quadro 3100m for like 90USD. Is it worth buying if i want to upgrade? I dont have money to buy something like X220. Also im mainly using laptop/netbook for 3D modelling, programming (Py, C, PHP), and writing documents
fuckin take it
>>62170205

Nope wouldn't use it for 0 Dollars
>>62170205
>Is it worth buying if i want to upgrade?
Yes. Now take it!
Ok /g/, I need to find a good music player/manager for Android. I'd really like the ability to rip songs from YouTube while also being able to play songs in the background and have playlists, but really can't find anything that fits both of those purposes. Lack of ads and ability to play songs offline is a must.
Also, general android music app thread. What do you use?
Pi music player.
>>62170195
I use timber. It is really bad, but I am too lazy to fix it.
The only usable music player I have used on android is Poweramp, but it requires botnet store in order to work.
>>62170217
I downloaded that earlier and was gonna try it out later today. What do you like/hate about it?
Firefox is <fill in the missing word(s)>
Pretty nice since they started working on the performance
