>The worst feature of Windows 10 is automatic updates -- even when you're in the middle of something.
The fuck is going on with Microsoft? Their contempt for their customers is approaching levels of insanity.

>Their contempt for their customers
If you don't like things being made by Microsoft for you, you can stop being their customer.
As I did it in case of Windows 10.
>>58644968
i can understand both sides. on the one hand, you have a company with a operating system known to be easily exploited. on the other hand, you have tons of users who refuse to make updates, because their edgy friend told them to never install updates back in 1998.
there are no winners here.
Hi,
In the past months I've been trying to put together a new PC to retire my old Q6600.
Bought the parts and now I'm down to the CPU.
So, I can get both the i5-6600 and the i5-7600 for the same price but I've read around that Win7 isn't compatible with the new Kaby Lake and the changes aren't all that great.
I can live with Windows 10 but if I have to choose, I would go with Windows 7.
This, mixed with the fact that the changes between Skylake and Kaby Lake are not so big, makes me wonder.
what should I buy?
Just get the 6600
Just get the 7600

just get the 8600

why would i use this over protonmail?
I wonder if I'm going to remember my old lavabit password or anything else that will be enough info to recover. Wouldn't mind having the account back even if I'm a bit wary to trust it.

for when proton's host has your entire network in their RBL
IT WAS JUST A SCAN YOU PRICKS
I'm building a computer for a family member, and trying to figure out what OS I should use.
Windows 7 is the safe bet, since it's cracked and everything.
But, Windows 10 comes with DX 12, and also some comparability for microsoft exclusives.
The only Windows 10 I found that was reasonably updated, and pre-activated, has some concerning things in the comments.
>[email protected] (C:[email protected])
>[email protected] (C:[email protected])
Which I guess could simply be hooks to keep the windows genuine, but could also be some malware.
What do I do? Is this Windows 10 safe? Or should I just stick with Windows 7, and tell them to buy OEM windows 10 if they want it?
Install your cracked version of 7, and then upgrade to 10 for free

Use Android, they said.
Use a VPN, they said.

Not takig 2 minutes to understand VPNs.
They are a bigger security security risk that no VPN if they are not a trusted service, that is offshore (outside NSA/GCHQ jurisdiction) and saves no logs.
>>58644754
I don't think I have ever suggested using a VPN app on Android.
Especially as you can set up VPNs with the system software.

>Not takig 2 minutes to understand VPNs.
most ppl DO UNDERSTAND what they're getting into... that's why they're buying the VPNs.
prob is that technical implementation is shit.
I've been wasting too much time and need to become more disciplined. How do you stay focused and avoid distractions?
Do you have a separate development environment? Do you use any productivity tools?
>>58644733
>How do you stay focused and avoid distractions?
1) Disconnect from the internet.
2) add this to your /etc/hosts file:
0.0.0.0 boards.4chan.org
There is no step 3. Enjoy!
>>58644733
Run everything from the console without X and a desktop environment. That way you can never be distracted.

Not today. As far as I know, LDAP module is stil trash. Other than that, it's better than Apache.
