I did not touch advanced partition tool whatever it was called. It was chosen by the installer.

>on't do anything which will fuck you up.
Like what? Only thing I did was to connect the installer to my wi-fi, then just click install, set my user name and password.

I did not even open advanced partition tool.

But this is besides the point that why is there an options menu if you can't even do anything with it.
>>
Ubuntu is the best desktop distro. prove me wrong
>>
>>58646935
Yeah if only this allowed me to use the option menu to make me able to write on drives.

How hard it is to have such option

Post your component list, rate other anons', and ask questions in general.

Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA.
If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price or to improve specs or build quality.

Assemble your parts list; built-in price comparisons by vendor and a compatibility filter.

Gaming builds based monitor resolution and refresh rate

>To activate the Description, select build from sidebar then click on the title over the parts list
>Description contains notes, other options, and build skeleton for easy customization / cost savings
>Note: Win7 and 8.1 cannot be installed on a Kaby Lake system

Have a budget, but don't know where to start? This will recommend you a parts list based on price.

>OUTDATED CPU RECOMMENDATIONS (no mention of Kaby Lake)
>Subsitute a G4560 with 2400MHz RAM for the i3-6100 in any build; same performance, half the price.
>Consider substituting an i5 7500 for the i3 in any RX470/480 or GTX 1060 tier build
>Consider stock fan+heatsink for any i3 or locked i5 build without a Z mobo
>Consider a B150/B250 or H110/H210 mobo for any i3 build
>Add a 240GB SSD to the "Great" tier build

Should I get a GTX1070 with a generic monitor, or an RX480 with a Freesync monitor?

My brother gave me this PC back in May as a belated birthday. It's alright, although it's loud as a motherfucker and heats my room up considerably. Should I just scrap this one entirely based on these specs? Keep in mind I don't know shit about assembly and will probably have to get a prebuilt so I don't have to wait for faulty hardware to be shipped back and forth, but was curious to see what /g/'s thoughts on this issue was.
>>
>>58646845
Generic monitor + 1070, if you max the refresh rate there's no need for *sync

>>58646951
Scrap it.

Just bought this, is it very good?

I was gonna get a 4k one but no store near me has one and this is the only 1440p one even! Looks nice and I hear Dell is good?

Linux is obsolete. Why don't you admit Linux kernel sucks?? A monolithic kernel in 2017!! Are you kidding me?? The only good thing about Linux is that it sucks so much that even a monkey could write a OS on it..and it's for this reason we have so much Linux disto..Microsoft and apple have a better kernel.
Prove me wrong.

Protip: you can't.
