Buy a computer. Administer it. Learn. There ya go.
What chair do you have, and would you recommend it? Did style and design matter when you chose yours?
Everyone here spends a lot of time in front of their desk, me included. I bought a chair called MARKUS at IKEA three weeks ago, and even if it was a high end chair in their line, I'm not satisfied. My ass and shoulders hurts every evening because of hard padding, or maybe even lack of padding. I've covered it in blankets to get some relief, so fuck IKEA.
I'm actually in the market for a chair right now.
I had considered a Markus but the non-adjustable arm rests ruined it for me.
Adjustable arm rests are a must. Adjustable lumbar support is also good, but not absolutely essential.

Well i have a Markus and I like it faggot
You have 15 seconds to say why systemd isn't the best Linux distro
Protip: you can't
Whats systemd? I looked it up. Theres not much info describing it. Im fairly new to linux still but kali was my first. I am currently looking for a new distro but i dont honestly find anything i like
>>58653818
If I may interject, what you're calling "Linux" is GNU plus systemd, or as I like to call it now a GNU+SystemD system.
>>58653818
Who do i look like? Candlejack? 15 seconds isn't enough time to properly explain the...

What's with the not even vaguely private tracker related OPs?

straight hook shit
never do this again
I don't believe it's fully appreciated just how useful the ribbon is as a feature. It makes the entire Microsoft Office ecosystem much quicker to use and easier to learn. In fact I think that's specifically why you see so many old people used to toiling through 2003's drop down menus complaining about it. When will they wake up and implement this or something like it into LibreOffice?
so you using the windows explorer ribbon?
>>58653955
No I'm using Nautilus. Who on earth would use Windows on their home computer?
>>58653708
It's already in LibreOffice afaik. At least in the development version.
My mom's birthday is coming up and I want to get her a mouse. She's only ever used laptop trackpads, and she says that she "likes it", but everything she does on the computer is so slow because of it and it just kills me inside. She has long mom-style fingernails too, so that doesn't make it any easier. I feel that her learning how to use a mouse would make things a lot easier for her.
What would be a good mouse for someone who's not used to using one? Preferably something that looks aesthetically nice and is wireless? Any ideas?

Explain the picture.
>>58653704
It's a mouse with a hat eating a piece of cheese.
where to buy the cheap meme /g/ stickers?
preferably more than one of each
they are usually a dollah or two on jewbay.
>>58653560
User sticker app and you can fill a whole sheet up of whatever you want for $10
>>58653560

quite expensive though
Have any of you managed to successfully build and install this? After numerous failed attempts I finally got a full build, but it doesnt boot on my device.
>>58653440
Did it for my nexus 5 and it worked. It still shit atm, a lot of features are missing and a lot of bugs. You should wait if you want to use it as your day-to-day OS.
>>58653503
What branch did you build? I tried building the cm-13.0 branch for the same device and it just gets stuck on the Google logo.
So what custom ROM should I be looking to use instead, since Lineage seems to be having trouble getting its act back together? My phone's dying and I need to buy a new one soon anyway, so ROMs with limited device support aren't much of a problem.

Pajeet Ayyy to cancel FCC proposal to let cable customers use their own set-top boxes instead of renting cable company ones. 1 job-killing regulation down; 999,999 to go.
I love America, you guys are a source of endless amusement.
>Implying anyone pays for cable tv
>yet another incentive for people to ditch cable TV
I fail to see the problem
i need a cheap printer solely for printing school papers
what should i get?
>>58653387
You should get a cheap printer.
>>58653479

>>58653505
You should still get a cheap printer.
So, Trump is gonna delete climate.gov but someone is backing it up as I speak, all 1+ GB of it.
Snowden probably did the same thing.
Yep, I am a faggot for replying to myself...
anyway, all that's needed is wget in recursive mode. the thing is, none of the climate dot gov it faggots care about climate dot gov as they're hot on the trail of someone who downloaded over 1.2GB of the website after blocking him until he gets 403 at www dot epa dot gov.
also, the climate dot gov site has supposedly lasted 2+ ours without a 403.
dumb cucks.
this means that climate dot gov is awaiting getting pwned by a botnet farmer from russia who will use it to declare war on those neo nazi fascist sjw.
I want to sell my pc i5 6500 r9 390, to make a budget itx that is easy to transport, basically a diy steam machine with the difference that i runs windows and it's not crap. I mainly play indie games and the ocasional AAA but I don't mind playing them on medium graphics 30fps if necessary. Where do I start? What are the budget picks nowadays?
Uhhh why not put your i5 6500 and r9 390 in an itx case? Are you retarded?
>>58653340
This.
Node 202, SilverStone ML08 or SG13 will fit your long dong GPU.
>>58653340
Well while you're right about the i5, the r9 390 I don't think it's a good idea to put it ona itx case.
I don't know if it even fits and is loud and a fucking oven (thanks based ayymd). Plus I also wanted to downgrade a bit and make a little money while maintaining a computer that is able to do all the things I did.

What would you replace it with and why? the BSD coreutils? doing that would break pretty much everything.
I have an even better idea! Let's port the fucking plan9 userland to Linux!
