what do you guys need that many HD space for? I have 500GB and only use about 100GB. Is it for games? I delete movies once I watch them, have a good music library that still doesn't takes that much and that's it. Why do some of you need +1TB?

Hey /g/ how strong of a magnet do you think it will take to fry one of these electronic door locks to make the keypad unusable? Do you think one of the medium sized neodymium magnets would do it, or would I need something stronger?

My roommate keeps inviting people over that trash my place and he gives them the code to get in, but no key, so I still want to be able to use the physical key slot, however I want to sabotage the electronics to make it unusable, if the magnet won't work I'm open to suggestions (minus physically breaking the keypad or just removing the batteries, and i've tried all diplomatic solutions).

A while ago I used some USB/CD bootable thing that lets you select which device to boot from.
So you'd boot from this USB/CD first and then you'd get something like pic related.

I forgot what it's called. Does anyone know what I mean?

(I know it sounds stupid and that I could just use the mobo boot chooser, but that doesn't work properly.)

>>
>>58661177
this is a boot device selection menu.

It appears if you press a specific key after you turn on your computer. F9 or F11 usually, varies for every mobo.
>>
>>58661177
That's the exact thing mobos give you.
>>
Mash some buttons on the keyboard at the staring splash screen to access this menu, if it doesn't exist, go to your BIOS settings and enable it, if you have a motherboard from 1960, change the boot order manually or make a plop Linux CD.

These people claim to have invented a chip that translates windows software into linux software.

I don't believe this bullshit for a second. There is no way to do such thing, unless they bridge the calls to windows kernel/libraries to linux counterparts, like wine does.

Am i wrong? What does /g/ think about that?

They claim it will be done with an fpga. If there was anything to this Valve would have used it for steam machines. Probably just some convoluted implementation of wine. I have no idea what the purpose of an fpga would be in a setup like this.

I like the case design, and the concept is basically "Steam OS on custom hardware: pasta version".

Tell me opinions, facts, what I should change, or if I'm just a baddie and should waitfag for ___.
Here's my build.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015YEI7LK RMx 1000w
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007RESFR SP120 Quiets, 2x, would replace h55 and h100i for these.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KJGYLNM NZXT Sentry
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019EXSSBG h100i v2

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YJJBFIO 750D corsair
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OBRFFAS EVO 850 1TB SSD
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018GK2G9S Dominator Platinum 16GB 2x8GB, 2x for 32GB 4x8GB.3200MHz
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NGTYV2Q Z270-A Prime
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXSI216 i7-7700k

I've made mockups about layout in CAD, and my only concern is the dual Seahawk tubing into h55 on the upper exhaust of the 750D. Will this reach, be forced, or have excess tension?
Will the h100i tubing from the 7700k allow enough room for this?
the Z270 is a board with significant spacing around it's LGA1511, and the only measurement I could find for tubing is 11.5in on a stock h55. I have no information if this is tweaked or not on the Seahawks' assembly.
Will the stock tubing on a h110i allow this?

Here's a layout for explanation.

' 2 3
' 1 | -------- |
' | [( ) ] |
' | [5 ] | 4
' | [6 ] |
' | -------- |

1 a 140mm fan
2&3 are H55s
4 is H100i
5&6 are 1080 Seahawks.
( ) is 7700k.
Here's to hoping this doesn't get fucked by formatting once I post, and that the links work.

Is distance across z270 5&6 to 2&3 > distance to 4 on layout? Unsure, but if so that just solved all my concerns.
Photo is very relevant.

If the tubing still doesn't fit, where do I begin on making customs? I have no experience.

Comes down to a smooth 3100$ build, and it's very able to be built on my budget.
I'm first time building with watercooling and would appreciate input. Thanks.

Here's proposed tubing layout.
This makes it appear that its ass backwards and should be connected to 4 instead, but I'm unsure of the 2 distances.
