I guess I'm stuck with my iPhone 5S forever
>While the Android Nougat-powered phones may include different systems-on-chip depending on sales region — Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 in some and Samsung Exynos in others — all will have processors made using 10-nanometer fabrication methods. Performance-wise, this is said to make them 11 percent faster than the Galaxy S7 overall
Sad!
>Another difference between this year and last: the price. In Europe, the two Galaxy S8 models will each cost €100 more than last year’s models — the 5.8-inch model will retail for €799 and the 6.2-inch model at €899.
Does this apply only to the third world?

Is Ryzen going to make Intel lower their prices?
I'll post this again because I dont care
This is not a stupid question but I have to post this because I need help.
I've got a laptop that can't boot anymore into Windows, it dropped while I was using it so I thought it's surely the HDD.
I'm planning on installing Lubuntu (or any other distro that you recommend) and keep it on an USB drive (I know how to do that).
Then I want to see if I can access my Windows drive and HDD, I have really important files in there that I can't afford to loose, and I don't have any backup.
The problem is I have no experience with Linux, I guess that I'll have to some advanced shit on the terminal in order to do that but I don't know anything, the only command that I know is Screenfetch.
I don't know this if it's appropriate to post this here but whatever, I'm not a /g/ guy.
I've got an Inspiron 1420 that has a C2D T5250 in it. I'm trying to swap that out for a C2D T7500 but when I do, the system won't post. Only the power LED lights up for a few seconds. I'm running the latest BIOS (A10) as well. What am I doing wrong?
ITT: post beautiful tech (any kind)

seriously, how is windows 10 even real
don't try to defend the >muh work-free hours
no serious OS should enforce any sort of update on its users
not only does pic related happen in the superior macOS, but even if you try to hit restart and there is an application with ongoing work (such as rendering, remember the "windows made me a racist video?), the computer will stop restarting
You do realize that only EXTREMELY MENTALLY ILL (ie homosexuals) so called "people" like you use mac os, RIGHT???!

Not sure what the problem with Windows updates are.
You just have to check of the defer updates option, and then set your wifi connection to metered and it will never bother you with updates ever again.
If you're too incompetent to figure this out, then you deserve the headache that comes with dealing with automatic updates.
This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch.

How do I distinguish between tech-support level lazy Pajeets and god-tier genius Sanjays?
These two seem to be the two categories Indians fall into, so I'd like to learn how to differentiate the good from the rest.
>>58661770
Why does it matter? Stop filling the board with trash.
>>58661770
TL:DR don't be a nigger.
1. Be fluent in English (or the language you do business in) -- get rid of the Pajeet accent.
2. Do your best at whatever the fuck you do.
2.5 Learn stuff around / relating your subject of expertise.
3. Don't be a virgin.
4. Don't be a slave.
5. Learn to think for yourself.
Believe it or not, many whites can be more nigger even than the most melanin rich motherfucker.
And oh yeah, fuck off to

It's the same for anyone else:
Tech support tier:
a) They'll be overly self-confident to compensate for lack of knowledge
b) They'll talk too much whenever you're communicating with them. Poor communication skills is a key sign of lack of intelligence as it's them putting up a front to pretend they're saying something important. Of course it could be that they're talkative and are saying a lot of profound things but this is rare.
c) They rely on networking rather than their own merits to get shit done
The last one is the hardest one to nut out. I've had some who literally outsourced their own work and I didn't know until later. It actually turned out that they're very smart, just very lazy.
What are you working on, /g/?

I tried one at a store. The screen is nice, but the keyboard and mousepad are pretty bad. Also, the 15" model has pascal graphics, which is horrible for linux.
