>>58731980
Actually that's also an issue with Windows 8
Pretty shitty attempt at trolling tbqh OP, but I expect this level from a GNUmale Lincuck playing pretend real computer in a VM.

>1994, slackware has a graphical installer
>2017, arch and gentoo don't have an installer
nice progress freetards
Arch actually had one but the devs forgot about it until it broke and then just decided no one needed it

low quality bait m8
>>58731753
In terms of making it accessible, its a step backwards, but that's not the point
hello,
someone know how to access to S.M.A.R.T infos of a western digital my cloud hard drive ?
crystaldiskinfo don't.
>>58731724
Unless you can get a direct SATA connection to it, it won't really be possible. You could try using smartctl but I'm not sure if it will work or not.
smartctl is the way to go, it is able to "bypass" the most usb<->sata bridges and get SMART data from the device itself..
if that fails, just open the case and connect the drive directly

Just open the enclosure
What's the maximum recommended CPU voltage for overclocking on air coolers? ~1.3v?
You can't do 1.4 on Skylake anyway without damage in the long term so just do 1.35 or whatever
Your air cooler should handle any voltage fine
>>58731718
The spec sheet limit is 1.52v, and people go beyond that
My 6600k is at 1.32v on a hyper 212 evo
This is a picture of various skylake CPUs, almost all 6600ks and 6700ks

That's really dumb
Keel your PC

Use magnets.
since the internet will probably become completely useless pretty soon has anyone gotten into wireless mesh networking? seems like a good way to get around the inevitable censorship.
>>58731469
You mean it will become useless in the US, which it has been for years
It doesn't matter
Tech and regulations needs to improve to high range broadcasting by just regular WiFi type devices
>>58731469
Your paranoia is showing

/g/ should instate some sort of pic's or you don't own one rule.
I'll go to BestBuy if I want to hear someone tell me what bullshit I "need"
Why would someone being so jew to buy a used to $200 laptop, buy a monitor costing at least 3x as much.
If you think typing a certain combination of numbers, letters, and symbols into a computer can make it conscious, you're an idiot.
If you think that arranging certain atoms, molecules and using electricity can make a conscious, you're an idiot
He he... just you wait.
Theoretically it could be done with a machine learning program way more sophisticated than anything we have now, an absolute shitton of data, at least a warehouse full of processing power running at capacity for an additional couple years or so.
Someone would most likely figure it out and bring it to the public if it were happening.
when will it end

4:3 for life.
Does anyone here use 4chanx with Chromium? Whenever I open a thread and scroll through it, the browser stutters. It's def 4chanX doing it because when I disable it, stuttering is gone and it's super-smooth.
Anyone experienced this? Is there some option in 4chanX that you are suppose to disable to make it smooth?
Anyway, fuck JavaScript! Why is that shit language so fucking bad???
Firefox doesnt have this problem
>>58731159
It does. But I think it's my card.
t. not OP
It's just the botnet screenshotting your webpage.
How can anyone rely on a phone for an alarm clock? Mine randomly froze in the night, rebooted and was unable to trigger its alarm because it was put back to the android encryption screen.
That's fucked up!
Does android really do that?
My gf says hers won't wake her up when it's on silent since the alarm apparently does not override silent mode.
Fuck.
I'm really not looking forward to the day when I finally cave in an get a "modern" "smartphone".
>blackberry
>its switched off
>it switches on automatically at the alarm and asks me for the encryption pw afterwards
>its silent (which it always is)
>alarm overrides that
>it crashes (which it rarely does)
>it just reboots and recovers all running apps and asks me for the encryption pw when I unlock the screen
Never failed me yet. :3
>>58731021
Since 2011 when I got an iPhone.
