Varies on what you consider to be tech illeterate. I consider my peers to be tech illeterate (they literally call any other phone than an iphone "a samsung") and most of the g would consider me tech illeterate for not using linux because I dont know shit about it and reverted back to windows in one week after trying to fix hundreds of problems it threw at my face.

I don't know how you guys are getting all these problems with Linux. I used Ubuntu for a bit and only switched back because of many inconveniences.

I am a very awkward person. If a group of two or more girls ever started lauging at me, I would run away crying. This is precisely why I won't ask anyone out-- too nervous of rejection.
feels bad man
>>58807123
Same to be honest. It's so bad that I keep myself from even talking to women. I haven't talked to a girl in over 11 years.

I contact you with the purpose of firstly discussing some things, and secondly to ask some questions.
Let\'s get to the point then.
What makes you think that all people who get locked out of a game (from now on called "pirates") will definitely buy the game?
You specify in your website something about 40% of people cracking games and how Denuvo will turn that 40% into profit. I fail to see how this this in any way legitimate.
People have reasons for pirating a game. Some will do it because they feel a game should not be bought. I disagree with that.
Others do it because they have no money to buy it. Solution to this is to save up and buy it.
Others, however, present a reason I consider valid. These people pirate a game as a form of demoing it, to see whether or not they like the game, or if it\'s worth its price. The solution to this is making demos of games, or betas. I may not be fully informed about this, but I believe it wouldn\'t cost much to make a demo of a game. This, of course, is compatible with DRM protection such as Denuvo. This would be the ideal scenario for any game.

Should I buy a laptop made by Asus or Lenovo if the configurations are almost the same and the price is the same?
>>58807061
Never go for specs. Always go for quality materials dude.
>>58807701
Ok, and which do you think has higher build quality for the same price: Asus or Lenovo?
I know that Lenovo offers much better build quality for higher price with the Thinkpad series, but with other series it seems to be the same as Asus.

Is there a reason to use Linux when Windows Powershell exists?
>>58807008

>>58807008
Can your Powershell do this?
>>58807008
No, windows works and is used by professionals while lincucks is made by communists who want you to work for free. It's no surprise the best rated software is windows.
Payment methods discussion thread
Which one do you use the most often?
>>58806911
My Amex. There's literally only one place I've been to it's not accepted and I get great rewards for it.
But you can also link it to contactless payment systems on your phone, so it's a moot point and you're a retard.
>>58806942
Try leaving the USA from time to time.

Paypal for online payments. Debit card for everything else.

- a pair of shitty laptop speakers
- potentially shitty bookshelf speakers
- cheap speaker diy kits
- an mp3 player - potentially shitty, because they don't build many mp3 players anymore
- 1/2 macbook power plug
- external drive cases
- external DVD drive
- 2 internal DVD drives
- cheap multimeters
- mini amps like for guitar or normal speakers like the dayton dta1
- 4 - 6 USB sticks
- not quite 1/2 UltraEdit

Hello /g/
Can someone explain to me what a monad is and when i should be using it. I have a vague understanding which is not enough.
>>58806826
Do you know what a Functor is?
>Think of a monad as a spacesuite full of nuclear waste in the ocean next to a container of apples. now, you can't put oranges in the space suite or the nucelar waste falls in the ocean, *but* the apples are carried around anyway, and you just take what you need.
>>58807765
No. But I know what a function is.

I need a computer. There's a guy selling a T400 Core 2 Duo for 100 bucks with a bad battery (lasting 20 minutes according to him) or should I look for a thinkpad with an i5 processor, like an X220?
>>58806502
I wouldn't do more than 80 for one of those, and that's if it's in good condition (no cracks or major scuffs/scratches) and it would need to include a hard drive of some kind and at least 4GB of RAM.
I have one next to me right now. The screen is just ok and it's fast enough for daily use. You should get a 4 cell battery so there not a big thing sticking out of the back and to make it lighter, though it will come at the cost of battery life.
>>58806529
Thanks for the response. I'll think about it then.
It's a shame that I can't find X220s with IPS screen, or T520s with FullHD screen in my country.
What are you working on, /g/?

Learn basic program concepts on some easy language at first.
Personally, I started with BASIC, you may start with C or Pascal.
You must get a grasp on programming basics first, later you'll choose where to move on.
