I believe it's the autistic tendency to have EVERYTHING released under your own special Graphical Environment in a monolithic and specialized manner. "Kdevelop", "Gnu Termina", "KDE this", "KDE that", "GNU this", "GNU that". It's pure communism (or fascism) incarnate.

I believe Richard Stallman is one of the main contributors to the problem. The GPL license has turned into a religion. Sometimes I think Linux would do better on the MIT Licence because it would have less of those extreme consolidation of software movements and more variety.

The result is that right now a lot of resources have been WASTED. WASTED on 10 different GUI versions of the same thing when the same people that did all those 10 different things would just run 1 thing and do it amazingly. Everything is half-arsed on linux and a large part is this.

Do you actually like that KDE has special versions of software, GNOME has special versions of software, and as a result most of that software is half arsed?

I have one too, I love it. Using Windows 7, btw. Works perfectly. Just change the wireless card with an Intel on. The one that came with it's rubbish.

When did Microsoft start producing more shitty vulnerable software than Adobe?

I thought flash was bad but holy shit just look at Microsoft, the winner of "Company with the most unsecure codebase award"

>>
When people stopped using Adobe and nobody gives enough if a shit to find vulnerabilities for it anymore.
>>
>>58842453
That's the total number per vendor, not per product.

Microsoft has way more products than Adobe. A vulnerability that affects Windows NT would be counted like 8 times in that list, and a vulnerability that affects Office would add 10 more. Meanwhile for Adobe, a bug for Flash or Acrobat counts as 1 bug, not one for every single version that each has.

If you slash the vulnerability numbers by products, Microsoft actually comes out pretty low.

>>58842524
You actually have a fair point.

I'm running TailsOS, VPN through Tor on a wifi network.

On the same network, I'm playing with my Apple Iphone, posting pictures on a public Facebook page.

Does the latter compromise the former?

He's a genuinely technology clueless person. The concept of using the terminal is foreign to him.

So LG works with Apple on a 5K display for Macbooks, and the end product ends up looking like a generic PC monitor instead of blending in with the recognizable Apple aesthetic.

This is supposed to be a replacement for the Apple Cinema Display, the sexiest looking monitor ever made. Explain this shit.
