what are the benefits to cracking a tripcode? figured you nerds would be able to answer that
street cred on an indonesian stained glass BBS
>>58883729
lmao
>>58883712
You might if it's not a secure tripcode, if it's a secure tripcode you can't.
What is the most metal OS and why is it Arch Linux?
>>58883369

Arch kids are the worst.

Because it's dead, just like metal
Ladies and /g/entlemen, a battle of the ages! We've used expensive mechanical keyboards with custom layouts before but those are elite hotrods in the keyboard world. When function trumps form, when price trumps enthusiast performance, which keyboard would you buy for less than 10 dollars!
If you were trapped in a bunker heading an underground resistance against the sentient machine overlords and you needed a reliable stock of keyboards which would you purchase as your AK-47 of the computer programming world?
Logitech K120 vs HP K1500
WHICH ONE IS THE SUPERIOR KEYBOARD?
K120 all the way, the shape of the bottom row is much more ergonomic than most other cheap keyboards. Also not a huge fan of how there's no gap in between the keyboard sections on the K1500.
>>58883547
>>58883590
I think aesthetically I like the K1500 because I like that its rectangular and uniform but the spacing of keys is a real issue.
I've been using a K120 for a year or so and it functions exceptionally well.
I have ten or eleven mechanical keyboards, one of them already having survived 25 years. I think I'll be fine.
>Linux sucks balls for everything not server related
>Windows 7 is slow losing hardware support and takes huge HDD space
>MacOSX is dumb, slow and you have to buy everything
>Windows 10 is an ad botnet
Why the fuck isn't there a workstation OS anymore like the Win NT's of 2000s?
What the fuck are we supposed to use???
BSD?
>>58883317
>takes huge HDD space
HDD space costs fucking nothing these days, not a valid argument anymore
Windows is still the most popular server OS, anon.

Senpai, does anyone know how to retrieve a code or number u have written before using? I lost my code for the postal, and need it to track my package. But I cant manage to retrieve the code, I have written it before, and I'm hoping its saved in cookies.
type a random number in
go to the url bar an erase the number
if a different number is listed as having been visited before that's the one
if not there's no way
I know its starts with 2 letters followed by lots of numbers and then fairly sure it ends with NO, if it helps.
like: CH994858888776NO
for example
>>58883214
It should be on the receipt when you paid for shipping. You saved the receipt, right?
>programming on windows
ok, so I just installed windows on my pc to play games
I never really programmed too much, little bit of C and lisp when I was a kid (20 now), and wanted to get back into it. Why is programming on windows so fucking egregious? On UNIX everything is a holistic organic system made up of parts that work together. On windows everything is a proprietary bloated mess
We just had a thread where /g/ couldn't name one (1) C IDE for Linux
>>58883194
/g/ is dumb
geany
>>58883194
They did name vim though.
>Best screen on any laptop

>Premium, Industrial design
Does it get any better than this, G?
Lol at putting phones in cases as if you're a gorilla
>industrial design
You obviously have no fucking clue whatsoever what this phrase implies.
>>58883088
Industrial Design: the professional service of creating and developing concepts and specifications that optimize the function, value and appearance of products and systems for the mutual benefit of both user and manufacturer.
Coffee is technology. Tea is technology. If it can help your startup sieze just 1% of the market, it belongs here.
Post your brew and brewing technology here.
i got this little nigga behind my setup
espressofag here
slightly modified slivia with a macap grinder
There are regular Coffee and Tea threads over on

Hey /g/, so I'm in the UK and slowly but surely over the last year or so it's getting harder and harder to access torrent site proxies like those for pirate bay. More and more getting shut down all the time and the ones I can access are getting dodgier.
As far as I can tell I have one of two options going forward, I need to either gain access to a private tracker or I need to experiment with tor and find a source there. Though I could prolong this by finding a better source of proxies online.
What does /g/ recommend?
inb4 install gentoo
Mover to a free country like the USA.
Literally no website censoring here unlike Yurop.
>>58883042
yet
Doesn't connecting directly to the IP still work?
Why doesn't Microsoft take action on the millions of pirated copies of Windows?
>>58882996
Because nobody would use their products then. They'd instantly lose 30% desktop users.
They understand that their extremely lean approach to pirated copies of windows was a tremendous contribution to the popularity of their platform.
It was what allowed them to get hold of almost (like 90%+) entire desktop market.
Windows was always a product oriented at 3rd party software.
They knew that letting people pirate it was the only way of becoming a monopoly and thus getting all relevant 3rd party software companies focused on supporting your product and by that increasing the attractiveness of it.
Enterprise/companies (the milking cows) will always pay for legal copies. That's what matters.
>>58882996
They would suddenly have only 40% of the market share they have currently, if not less. Which would hurt them in the long run.
my monitors 60 hz doesnt look smooth enough when i see a youtube video at 60fps. why?
It's because your eyes can only render 18fps

Which Android release was the worst, /g/?
Anything after kitkat
>>58882928
either ICS or JB
JB. It was pretty featureful but it was very poorly optimized.
I spend 70% of the time looking at documentation, 20% in meetings and 10% actual coding.
I want off this ride

why does linux break so often
seriously this keybind always made the notification pop up now out of the blue it just no longer works
i get the sound effect and the volume turns up but no notification
random update broke it?
