Hey Lineagefags, how has your "new" OS been treating you? Does OTA work for you?

It werks for me, oneplusone.
But there as no daily builds, only weekly if I remember
>>
>>58969960
Perfectly fine. And if the OTA doesn't work, just fish the downloaded ROM package from TWRP in /data/data/org.lineageos.updater/app_updates

I've been reading reports of all kinds of shit broken (most likely due to tons of duct taped root stuff, idiotic mods or extreme-edition-black kernels done by your average Pajeet) but
>works on my machine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

>>58969960
idk i use resurrectionremix which is based off lineage anyway :^)

So I'm building a custom PC and the idea was to build a laptop screen into the side so it could be used on-the-go but still have all the power of a desktop. However the screen I have is 40pin eDP and the only converter boards I can find are limited to 30pin.

I'd really like to have 4k and as large of a screen as possible. The screen I have is 3840×2160 but I need some way of converting from the DisplayPort output of my graphics card.

Pic related, it's my screen.

Any and all help is vastly appreciated.

>>58991022
Not possible. The only converters are for 30 pin as you said.
Get a 1080p screen and stop making things difficult for yourself.
>>
;-; i wish that was possible
>>
>>58991059
I was worried that was the case. There's a demand for this kind of converter board though, so I was hoping SOMEONE made one.

>All the power of the linux console
>Good amount of software
>Professional software available (Adobe, Maya, etc)
>with good tweaks it becomes a monster
>Using windows software is easy af

Cons:
>not all hardware compatible
>"Kinda Hard to install"

i used both linux based OSs and Windows
is the best of both worlds

Note that im not reffering to Mac hardware, those are kinda bad

Meme hardware aside, the Yoga Book looks pretty comfy and useful as a full-range productivity notebook. The comparable surface book is double the price, and from what I understand not that great. What are /g/'s thoughts on the Yoga Book?

it depends on your main focus, really

I do a lot of writing, because I translate stuff, and this keyboard is pretty useless and specs are too weak even for translation-dedicated software.

The screen is all wobbly

As a novelty tablet with cool looks and features - ok

As a complete laptop substitute - definitely nope

For example:

I got a new phone two weeks ago and there are some apps I want for my phone, but I don't want to set up my phone with a google account. So that means I can't get anything from the google play store and will have to get them from other sources.

How reputable is apkpure? Are there any other good, reputable places to get apk files?
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>58989883
I second this question. I know only of apkpure and apkmirror and I am unsure if they are good.
>>
>>58989883
try en.uptodown.com
it's neatly categorised like the playstore but actually an apk repository, so you will get the *.apk files

Thank you for the suggestion, but the most important question is whether or not it's safe.
