Alright technologically savy anons, here is the question. What do you see is install for the future of bitcoin and other cyrptocurrency's? I know I could of or maybe should of posted this on /biz/ but i'd like to get an idea on where you (technology enthusiats/professionals and noobs) see it going. Obviously there is potential to make money using the volitilaty of the curency but do you see bitcoin or another cyrpocurrency really taking off. Is bitcoin overvalued and bound to fail? or will bitcoins be worth 10s or even 100s of thousands of dollars?
The floor me dear friends is yours.

Technology was a mistake.
Bitcoin was even more of a mistake

Don't buy a TV.
This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch.

Hi /g/
Lucid Charts is pretty good but I want something that doesn't hold my charts hostage, you can't easily export from them and even the XML export is hard to set up and has stopped working for me for no particular reason.
The free limits in pic related are really easy to hit too.
Is there any free charting tool that isn't shit? Preferably FOSS.
I went looking a while back and only found Diag which is really, really ugly.
I mostly want to do ER modeling.
>>59060103
Is there nothing?
>>59060396
I use draw.io. Can export to xml, svg, their proprietary format, or a bunch of other shit.
>>59061105
Thanks, I guess I'll give it a shot.
I did find Pencil Project and yED which I'll check out too. Neither of them seem on the same level as LucidCharts or Visio but they might be ok.

How fucked is my PC? Not sure how bad a power surge damaged it.
I went to plug my ipod in to the charger, thats plugged into a USB in the back.
When I barely moved the charger cable, a huge flash came from the outlet that my power bar is plugged into.
Oddly enough, the end of my ipod charge cable is a blackened mess.
PC will not power up now. Feels not good.
Pic not related
That's what you get for using Apple

OK, /g/, I've been looking for this forever. I've got a small desk and want a second monitor, but can't fit a full-sized panel. I'm looking for something 10-13" that can be used in landscape. Preferably IPS and at a high enough resolution that I can view full webpages while watching movies on my main screen. Why is this not a fucking thing? All a manufacturer would have to do is put a laptop panel into a rotating housing. The few small monitors that I can find are super expensive and shit quality. Anyone know where I can find something like this for cheap?
>>59059045
>10-13"
>use in landscape
>high resolution
Sounds like you want an iPad - as an added bonus you get touch screen and aids.
>>59059069
Except I don't. I want an actual monitor to place on my desk.
Maybe just buy a laptop screen and an eDP to regular DisplayPort adapter? (I forgot exactly what the boards are called).

i wouldn't call that picture gore, but yeah, it's a bit cringey when you realize that computer gets crumbs and oil all over it

is the physical storage meme dying?!
i thought that it would be a good idea to purchase another SSD to get more storage but then i thought to myself i should just upload everything i need to the cloud
why wouldnt i ?! it seems like the best option
>>59058842
Uh, you do realize that even virtual storage is on physical media, right? It physically can't die. Go be an idiot somewhere else.
>>59058871
retard ... i mean for plain and simple storage nothing beats the cloud
the convenience is unmatched ... lets say pictures, somewhat important data etc
no need to worry about data loss anymore ... can build machines with ultra small hard drives but still enjoy the storage capabilities of one with more hdds
cloud storage is the future ... once we reach GB/s internet connections everywhere there will be less and less need for owning your own actual hard drives
>>59058922
>once we reach GB/s internet connections everywhere
yeah that's not happening for a very long time, especially in the states.

they do this for businesses mainly because it gives the business owners the advantage of not having to put up large sums of money today but over time instead
it sucks for consumers tho
