>attempt to use Android Studio
>everything is slow as shit with a response time of at least 500msec because the piece of shit is coded in fucking Java
How can you do app development without feeling like fucking rodent?
What are your specs?
>>59110455
use a text editor and the command line development tools, if you want to be a true patrician
I tried to download sdk and set it up with an ide but my 2 digit brain made it impossible for me
I had to buy a new computer that can support android studio and the android emulator
I guess a core 2 quad and 4gb ddr2 ram doesn't cut it any more
Guys I tried to escape winbot10 by reinstalling windows 7 but it can't even install ethernet or USB drivers on his own.
Should I get a DVD player just to install the drivers? Would it even detect it?
>Should I get a DVD player just to install the drivers? Would it even detect it?
Yes, that would work assuming your keyboard is connected with PS/2. Otherwise you will still have a major problem.
>>59103874
Keyboard is USB but it works for some reason
>>59103854
Boot from Linux distro on USB stick an download drivers into the Windows partition.
Why isn't your favorite company a Platinum member of the Linux Foundation. Does she hate linux so much?
But I use FreeBSD.

Damn, Linux is swimming in dough.

there you go, Linus confirms Linux desktop is pure utter shit. How do you feel about it?
how do you feel about Linus trolling and bullying Con so we can't have a decent scheduler unless your rig has 1024 cpus?
are you a NEET that wasted half of your life fixing loonix?
running botnet PajeetOS v10 isn't that bad afterall if it just werks?
>>59103538
He has a point though.
>>59103538
All Windows and OSx code is Linux user space tier.
In other words, Linux user space being shit doesn't imply that Windows and OSx kernel space code isn't shit.
>>59103538
he's not wrong
I want to torrent at uni, should I get a seedbox?
yes.
>>59103383
how do I figure out which one to get?

Ask somebody
>A graphic card that is $200+ more expensive (1070) gets like 10 or even less fps increase over a cheaper one (Radeon 480)
How is this ok, ive been out the loop with graphic cards for a while and i comeback to this shit, what the fuck.
>>59109934
>GTX 970
The gimping is real
>The card of the price of the 970 gets 40+fps
State of this industry

I'm willing to be it's a memory thing because the 3.5 meme and running the game at 1440p. I highly doubt the game would perform better under older drivers.
The Phenom II x6 series was underrated, cheap as fuck and was great for non-gaming tasks. I am running a 1090T from like 5-6 years ago with the stock cooler(!) and it still working like a charm.
Prove me wrong, you can't.
>>59109666
They were great. Still using a 1090T overclocked to 4GHz at 1.425V. Doesn't get hot at all even at that voltage with a Noctua NH-U14S cooling it. Ironically, they're better now for gaming than they were at launch, since games are using more threads now. I literally get better performance in The Witcher 3 than I do in the original game, since that hammers a single thread only.
>>59109666
Phenom II x4 965 BE running since 2011. Can confirm anon, still works great.
>>59109686

Will you guys upgrade to Ryzen or are you staying on your phenoms?
Let's talk terminal color schemes. What do you use? What do you look for in a color scheme?
I'm looking for something with somewhat muted colors myself, but something that wouldn't hinder my functionality by having the colors being too similar to each other etc.
Solarized dark
/thread
Tango.
Anything else is for children who only type "ls -l" and "screenfetch" into their terminal emulators to post it in desktop threads.
Altering the terminal output seems degenerate to me. Why not just use programs that output in color?
Rate others to be rated. Eventually say what you would/would not change. I'll begin:

Where would GNU be without Linus?
Juust a bit more...
Even google started a new one I heard. Jesus fucking christ, when will people understand we don't need copy cats. The licensing is what made Linux, not the concept.
>>59101772 (You)
PS. i.e. Stallman got it all wrong, he shouldn't sperg and screech with "it's GNU/Linux", he should outright say "It's my GPL license that made it took off", which is something true for a change, even if the GPL can hurt capitalism sometimes.
