Working on a tensor-oriented symbolic computation library in rust but it's limited to my spare time so it's going slow. Rip.
Hey, /g/. As I want to transition into computer gaming, I was pondering on getting this PC. The specs seem good enough for the price, but I'm a newbie to pc gaming and was told by a friend to make a thread. Thanks!

stop right now and dont do it
OP do you know how many threads we have on building a computer every day? There are dozens. And every time it's the same thing, "/g/, new to computer, do everything for me and I buy" or the classic "I want to play videogames so build me a computer". Well OP, as a seasoned /g/-browser, I'd like to tell you to go fuck yourself. Have you ever heard of the Falcon Guide? Well then go google it, you lazy worthless sack of shit. And as I sit here eating my Subway™ Tuscan Chicken Melt Sub™ I come to wonder, why is there such a constant influx of idiot aspies? One can only wonder, but I'll assume you are either from /v/ or /b/. I would also like to take a minute to tell you to go back to your cesspool of shit and to kindly not come back to /g/ unless you have something worthwhile to contribute. I'm not trying to be offensive to you, it's just that I hate lazy sperglords like you. You do know that the internet is a very large resource with a wealth of information right? Well did it ever come across your mind that somehow, _somewhere_, there might be a place that is actually dedicated to helping people with their first build, that isn't /g/? Of course it wouldn't, because you're a thoughtless shitstain. Your specs are shit, your build is shit, and you're shit. But what else is to be expected of a cock-mongling niglet of such status as yourself? As I stated before, go back to whatever cesspool of shit you came from, and please, never return here again.

The penny has just dropped.
I was trying to softmod my Wii U to run unsigned code.
To get it to do so, I had to use a browser exploit. It opened up a video file and started running the unofficial code.
What the fuck?
Here is a security hole, typically the kind of thing that gives a Russian a stiffie and the kind of thing I try to avoid, but I'm actively hoping that it stays open so that I can make something I bought do what I want it to.
Non-free software and locked up hardware has made me resort to hacking my own hardware.
It feels like having to hot-wire your own car or something. This is literally fucked.

Wii is better for homebrew and emulation if that's what you want.
>>59112618
This.
The Wii is more open than a hookers vagina.
You can even replace all of the firmware with that of another region (for translations or better resolutions, etc).

any good wifi aps? what does /g/ use?
>>59112445
>any good wifi aps?
Fucking millenials, everything is app this, app that to you fucks
>>59112459
wow aps as in the plural of ap which is an initialism of access point.
>any good wifi access points? what does /g/ use?
if you pretend you were trolling i will humor you.
Unified has a cloud based management option that's super robust. You need to have a controller someplace though. Best is windows running it as a service.
IT company I work for has 40+ client locations all ready to go. You can also get notifications if an access point goes down, or if a black person connects to the guest wifi. I love ubiquiti
Which procedure is best, /g/?
3, aka the MSI method

Any use for the iGPU if I've already got a GPU?
Feels like wasted die space.
>>59111549
only if you are on a gnu/linux system and want to play vidya with a windows vm or want to stream stuff using your igpu
otherwise its pretty much pointless
shitpost about it on ryzen threads by pretending you've ever used it
>>59111549
There's tons of unused die space in pretty much every microchip
it's dead jim
..well almost.
Which should i get a 19" or a CTR. My budget doesn't allow anything else ($77).

>>59111487
Do what I do. Wait on the money. Get more money and get a 24'' like a human being.
Make it IPS.
Literally better than 4K clueless sperglord richfags get because they upscale and therefore distort.
>>59111555
i don't have the money coming in. got a big student debt i'm trying to pay off.
Would a 2nd hand CTR be good? I need something that will last for 4 years.

>>59111400

Running memtest on an old laptop. It just finished the first pass, but I can't see whether it's testing both ram sticks at the same time or not.
2-3 passes is alright. Even 4.
More than that is screwing up with your RAM.
>>59111247
But I have 2 ram sticks installed, does it test both of them or just the one in slot 0?
>>59111258
Both.
