I got a question. I don't frequent /g/

I have a 144hz monitor and a 60hz monitor. When I connect both them to my computer, the 144hz monitor automatically goes back to 60hz. Anything to stop it from doing that?

My GPU shat itself. Half the time it's not being detected by the motherboard, and when it does get detected, it either gives me a black screen or it would work normally but with the added benefit of green dots everywhere making it look like the Matrix. (Then the computer crashes and it gives me a video error)

What shall I ever do?

Has anybody worked with any of the PC Engines APU2 systems?

I just bought an apu2c4 from them, but it hasn't shipped yet.
The price seemed really good.
Quad core x86_64 CPU at 1GHz on all cores
4GB DDR3
a 16GB SSD
and 3 of the newer Intel gigabit NICs (with 2 other mPCIe slots)
All for about $150

I'm looking into running one as a pfSense router,
apparently the thing can do gigabit NAT with no issue

Has anybody heard of these/used these?

oh and 2 USB3.0 ports too.
>>
I use one of these with OPNsense. Works well enough, tho I had an issue installing it from my usb connected flash media drive. That specific version of FreeBSD that OPNsense was based on at the time had an issue with booting from USB 3.0, so I had to boot the install media from the internal USB 2.0 header. Been running for 9 months now without any issues worth mentioning.

Thinking about getting another just for toying around with, but I wish they made something like this that supports PoE, like their older geode-based boards.
>>
>>59114800
How fast is the thing? Can it actually do gigabit on the interfaces?

I'm a little worried about the single core speed

ITT you're supposed to ask questions that do not deserve their own thread.

Read the sticky before posting, you can often find the answer faster there: >>51971506
Same goes for taking a minute or two and googling your issue first.
DO NOT BUMP YOUR QUESTION! You wont get an answer faster, and some people look for posts without replies.

Is it possible to overclock your HDD? Because mine constantly crashes if I don't keep it directly in a fan. I think something broke and it's spinning faster than it should be.

i7 6700K

i7 if you got the budget

I do indeed have the budget, but it is still why im asking. If i5 is cheaper and somewhat worth it, i would go with an i5. Dont want no bottlenecks tho.
Anywho thanks for the answer.

You have to short two solder points on the mobo but it's totally random for each motherboard. Fortunately shorting two random points rarely does anything bad so good luck!

What's best software to encryption software to use on windows 7 boot drive?
Is it TrueCrypt?
Is VeraCrypt any good?
Are there any good alternatives if one encounters trouble with these two?
12 posts and 2 images submitted.

People say truecrypt is still fine although the longer it goes untouched the less id personally trust it. People then say veracrypt is backdoored by nsa. Tbh veracrypt is fine for you cause at the end of the day if nsa wants your data, theyll get it somehow.

So, I'm writing a program that lets a user play poker, essentially.

I'm trying to go about checking for the different hands (full house, straight flush, etc) by sorting an array storing the value of the cards in ascending order.

I know that I can use Arrays.sort(array) to do this. However, it doesn't seem to be working in my program, since I wrote a quick for loop to print out the sorted array, and it isn't sorted. Here's a code segment from my program.

I know, I know, I could be looping this if statement and save memory but this isn't about optimization right now.

int[] value = {9, 7, 8, 6, 5};
int[] suit = {1,1,1,1,1};
Arrays.sort(value);
for(int i = 0; i < 5; i++){
Arrays.sort(value);
System.out.print(value[i]);
}

if(value[0] == (value[1] + 1) && value[1] == (value[2] + 1) && value[2] == (value[3] + 1) && value[3] == (value[4] + 1)){
if (suit[0] == suit[1] && suit[1] == suit[2] && suit[2] == suit[3]){
System.out.println("");
System.out.println("You were dealt a Straight Flush.");
}

}

For whatever reason the array isnt being sorted, so what is going on?
