>People comparing a 4 core i7 with 8MB cache to an 8 core ryzen 16mb cache.
Not even the 6 core 1600x is meant to compete. Its a fucking 4 core cpu.
>price
>performance in various applications and use cases
these are the only 2 things that matter, everything else is damage control and autism
>>59137011
>People comparing two things that cost the same and are intended to compete directly
kys you kissless virgin faggot
its the price that compares
1600x will be the best cpu of the ryzen lineup
Just sold my freshly formatted 4tb hdd which previously held my distros and animes
I am free now, holy shit

Good for you. I never watched anime, but this site is infested with degenerates that constantly post it. I will probably never understand whats so fun about anime. Ive only watched DBZ and pokemon as a kid (I dont know if thats considered anime), that was fun though.

I found a random USB drive on the ground a little bit ago. I know the huge security risk associated with plugging it in, so I did so at my library. It just had someones homework on it.
If I wanted to make sure that there was definitely nothing malicious on it, would cleaning it with diskpart suffice? or something else?
>>59136805
just fill it with zeroes
>>59136805
Put tremendous amount of furry porn on it and return it somewhere telling them you found it at that corner.
If it's just a plain USB drive then a reformat is enough.
Why windows people are so aggressive towards Linux users?
Why Nutella and his people are trying to FORCE everyone into using Windows 10, and constantly insult everyone who refuses?
Why microcuck community is so toxic?
>look mom I posted it again, hurr, can I have some tendies now

Think Snowden. There's a reason MS are trying to get everyone onto Windows 10 - even by giving it away free. Also, by co-opting Linux features into Windows 10 they're trying to lessen the amount of reasons someone would make the switch. Why go through the hassle of learning Linux when you can have some of its features right there in Windows 10.
Actually it's mostly Linux fags aggressively shitposting about Windows and it's "problems"
You know it be true.
Is x86 back? Why would people use it, the word size is limited to 32 bits, and it processes less bits per cycle in comparison to amd64?
What makes Zen special?
>>59136300
Shit thread desu
Zen is AMD64. What are you smoking, Anon?
>have huge library of ebooks and video tutorials about programming

I have some stuff from 2013 that are not relevant anymore

Must be tough living with down syndrome.

switch to C and you won't have this issue
Up to your standards ?

Looks like something an 8 year old made with a cereal box, random buttons, some glue and some shitty water based powdered paint.
Still, better than what I could make so I give it a 7/10.
The buttons/lights/indicators/whatever on the left side of the scope are a little cartoony IMO and the back of the gun could be a little less plain but it's all right I guess.
That said

When I try to make threads with it using clover it doesn't work anymore, but otherwise it's fine
Works on my machine.
Not for new threads though.

Are sleeved cable extensions the ultimate meme?
A cheaper alternative to full length custom modular cables
For a bit of extra beautification
They're alright
the fact that the dumbfuck teenagers here think that the aesthetics of internal components matters has contributed a lot to my loss in hope for mankind

Sounds like someone's mad that they're too poor to afford some sleeved cable extensions.

How should Linux distro development respond to the fact that ARM processors are going to become increasingly common in future?

I'm learning python, going deep into this.
Usually I write code with VIM and debug 'manually', but I would like to try an IDE, just for more comfortable/faster/more efficient debuging.
What IDE /g/ recommends? pycharm? spyder? Something else?
Is there an efficient GUI debuger for python? So I could continue writing code with VIM and use GUI just for faster debuging?
I wonder if pepe will ever make it onto a stamp

Ryzen will have problems with 4k display. Even their highest end chips. How pathetic, this coupled with the poor gaming benchmarks and the fact that it costs more than the Intel equivalent makes it a dud again. So sad my friends, Intel wins again for all of your gaming and high end content producing needs!
meanwhile IRL "gamer" children won't notice a difference whatsoever
meanwhile half of sales are generated by shilling and marketing (see also: /g/ right now)

24 PCI-E 3.0 lanes is enough to feed any two GPUs and two PCI-E SSDs. If you want more than that the 16 core workstation Ryzen variants will have 48, and the 32 core server variants will have 96.
>>59134785
This is not exactly true, I mean, the CPU has the support for this stuff, but motherboards manufacturers are autistic and, at least in the case of mATX boards, it's hard to find ones with x8+x8+x4 PCIe slots.
I have to use two GPUs (one for Linux, one for KVM GPU pass) and a SFP+ 10Gb card, and I have a mATX case, so I had to choose Intel because of the integrated graphics (I have to buy just a single GPU), the amount of PCIe lanes, and Thunderbolt 3
Sorry AMD, I wanted to give you my money, but you didn't give me upgradability
