Why even bother?

If you want 4K content you either buy the UHD bluray (or torrent remux when it's gets cracked) or just watch a fucking regular BDRemux which will still look better on a 4K screen than fucking Netflix bitrates
>>
>>59141871
Just a head up Hd streaming on Netflix is only available on IE/edge or opera if you are watching it in browser.

How can AMD compete with Intel when Intel has vastly more resources?
Shouldn't Intel have superior manufacturing AND science behind their product?
Shouldn't Intel's chips have more advanced, better science behind them, for example being printed on a smaller process?
I don't understand how AMD can compete and produce a comparable product when their budget for R&D is inferior.
Is the answer that AMD's R&D department took a different and better approach to creating a computer chip? Did they stumble upon some kind of process or technique that gave them a leg up on Intel, who has had years of superior income to gain a lead?
How?!

I was considering getting a new laptop just to have at work because I work long shifts with nothing to do. I really know nothing about Mobile parts only gaming PCs

I was wanting something to play a few light games on, nothing crazy. Is the Intel HD Graphics 520 decent enough or am I looking to need a 1GB dedicated for any real enjoyment?

I am seeing the NVIDIA 940MX 2048MB on some things but they are over $500

Just wondering what a good option would be, I dont want overkill.

>>59141154
For a no/few-compromise gaming laptop you'll be spending 1k. 500 would probably do mid-range.
What exactly do you mean by lightweight? If you know generally what games you'll want to play, there are loads of comparisons out there for ranges of gpus playing various games.
>>
get a used Dell Latitude with a Quadro.

what kind of light games are we talking about because modern Intel graphics will happily run things from '05 and earlier.

Hey all of /g/ I have a question for you which hopefully, you can answer. about maybe a month ago a friend of mine (i will omit his name here because maybe you know him too) "james" sent me a string of snapchats with different messages that im guessing is one message since he put p1/p2/p3 in each different one. but if im going to get to the point, he had somewhat of an encrypted message i need help decoding, I know quite a bit when it comes to stuff like this so i did do alot this is the original message. "-- -- .-.. -- -- .-.. -- .-.. -- .-.. -- / .-.. .-.. -- / -- -- -- -- .-.. -- -- -- .-.. .-.. -- -- .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. -- .-.. -- -- / -- .-.. .-.. / .-.. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- .-.. -- .-.. -- -- -- .-.. .-.. -- .-.. / -- -- / .-.. -- / -- -- / -- .-.. .-.. -- -- -- .-.. .-.. -- .-.. -- -- .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. -- .-.. .-.. -- -- -- .-.. -- .-.. -- / .-.. .-.. -- .-.. .-.. -- -- / .-.. .-.. -- .-.. -- -- -- / -- -- .-.. .-.. -- -- .-.. -- .-.. .-.. / -- -- .-.. .-.. -- -- -- -- .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. / -- .-.. -- -- .-.. -- -- -- -- .-.. .-.. -- -- .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. .-.. -- -- -- .-.. -- -- -- -- .-.. .-.. .-.. -- .-.. -- .-.. .-.. .-.. -- -- .-.. -- .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. .-.. -- -- -- -- -- / .-.. -- -- .-.. -- .-.. -- -- -- -- .-.. .-.. -- -- .-.. -- -- .-.. -- -- --" which i translated from morse code that came out as "MMLMMLMLMLM LLM MMMMLMMMLLMMLLLLLMLMLMM MLL LMMMMMMMLMLMMMLLML MM LM MM MLLMMMLLMLMMLLLLMLMLLMMMLMLM LLMLLMM LLMLMMM MMLLMMLMLL MMLLMMMMLLLMLLLLML MLMMLMMMMLLMMLLLMLLMMMLMMMMLLLMLMLLLMMLMLLLLLMMMMM LMMLMLMMMMLLMMLMMLMMM" which i thought might be a baconian cipher but wasnt using A's or B's so i put it in several other types of ciphers and other things and finally had a result coming out with an atbash cipher and something else. this was the message (PT 1 WILL COMMENT PT 2.

"NNONNONONON OON NNNNONNNOONNOOOOONONONN NOO ONNNNNNNONONNNOONO NN ON NN NOONNNOONONNOOOONONOONNNONON OONOONN OONONNN NNOONNONOO NNOONNNNOOONOOOONO NONNONNNNOONNOOONOONNNONNNNOOONONOOONNONOOOOONNNNN ONNONONNNNOONNONNONNN" which of course seemed really weird but i kept going to be through with it and used a caesar cipher and ended up with again, this "AABAABABABA BBA AAAABAAABBAABBBBBABABAA ABB BAAAAAAABABAAABBAB AA BA AA ABBAAABBABAABBBBABABBAAABABA BBABBAA BBABAAA AABBAABABB AABBAAAABBBABBBBAB ABAABAAAABBAABBBABBAAABAAAABBBABABBBAABABBBBBAAAAA BAABABAAAABBAABAABAAA" which i know as a Baconian cipher. But it seemed different so finally after a long while i ran it through a rail fence cipher with a line 3 rail length. and got the almost final part of it "AABAAABBBBAAABA AAAAB BBAAA BAAAA AABBABAABA ABBBBBABBAAAABB BABABBAABBAABBBAAAABAABAABBAAA ABBBBABBBBBAAAB ABBBBAABBAAABAA BAAABBABAA ABBBAABABB AAAABBABAA ABAAAABBBABBAAB BABBBBAABB AAABAAAAABBAAAAAAAABABBABAABABABBAA" I used the baconian cipher and got "'-- (EPC/1555^@41.7090998,-116.8033291 : 41° 42' 32.76'' B,116° 48' 11.98'' Y (Q85 GS **9)-2 PWD0900VThbEY Ppr, 4, 2017 PGE *8:55 RU = _15549.64ol/BU @ IOZ-76 XT 31-33 (CBQBNFM)" which doesnt make sense. so finally ive narrowed it down to a Vigenere cipher but im unable to see what the passphrase could be. Would you guys be willing to help? (THIS IS PT2) thank you

I got a free Windows 10 Education license through my school, what should I do with it? Apparently it's a step above Enterprise and no Cortana.
My daily driver has been xubuntu for a while now, and originally I just planned to run this in a VM, but I've been thinking about giving it some bare metal. Anyone else have experience with Win10Edu? Also how is Hyper-V? Better than virtualbox? Let's discuss this like gentleman and avoid going full sperg with the botnet and cancer memes.

Don't bother ever since the anniversary update Cortana was added to education and hyper v doesn't work if you link the education license to your school account due to "'Security Policy"
>>
Just get the key and keep, it will be used, once you realize loonix has no software that matters.
>>
>>59143160
Are you literally mentally challenged? What are you even saying there? If your autistic sperglord mind wanted to say "Cortana is evil" but can't spell the words, you could remove that in 10 seconds and forever keep it removed if you are not utterly stupid.
