Nice one AMD person you can't fool my indian eyes
Hello /g/
I've been spending a quite sometime with Arduino, I have basic knowledge of programming and electronics.
However, I don't know how to use the C language outside of the Arduino platform, such as Visual Studio or whatever.
Can someone please supply me with a good C programming teaching website or videos?
>websites or videos
Pick up a textbook.

Suggestions?
>>59145512
this. there are a lot of good C books out there and you will learn the rest through documentation
Where were you when AMD just won the datacenter?
Full passmark suite on youknowwhere which I won't post so they get pagehits, but it looks pretty great.
The integer and fp performance seem amazing.
Any respectable company that would actually need that sort of processing power would get a Xeon Phi addon or a Xeon CPU. It's questionable how Ryzen would work in practice since it's apparently meant for gaymers, even though most games aren't optimized for multithreaded anyway. AMD is a joke.
>>59145513
>Xeon Phi addon or a Xeon CPU
Why? They could get an entire rack of 1800X for the price of a single Xeon
Why is there NO good internet browsers today, and why did ((((firefox)))) turn so shit?
>>59145364
>and why did ((((firefox)))) turn so shit?
They booted all the good coders(some left on their own) and expected that coding should be done free by people with free time believing in their BS.
They pulled all the money they were willing to spend into SJW shit.
dumb polposter

Im still using firefox, And it keeps getting memory leaks and crashing
What should i be using, and why is it Google Chrome?
Goddamn that name, first of all.
Anyways, so I bought a "New Nintendo 3DS XL" and the bottom screen broke recently. I'm looking around online for a replacement touch screen, and they range $30-$40. But I see tons of screens for the old Nintendo 3DS XL for much cheaper. My question is will the old 3DS XL LCD screen work on the New Nintendo 3DS XL? They both appear the same dimensions. I don't need the digitizer, mind you. Just the display.
I posted this question in /wsr/ but I wasn't sure if this kind of question is more suited for here or there.
>>59145160
Oops, I meant "I don't mean the digitizer"
>>59145160
There is a general here called /sqt/ stupid questions general if you ever have anymore questions.
I recommend you don't. The old 3DS XL has 3 buttons at the bottom while the new has one big one. I'm not 100% sure but it may not slide into place or work properly when you try place it in.
3DS New also has a better IPS display
>>59145160
Call Nintendo customer support and ask them, they're pretty good and will probably know, but I will say screen replacement/dealing with the ribbons in the 3ds is supposed to be a nightmare.
>tfw don't know how to program
Should I become a sysadmin or a network admin instead?
>>59145157
Neither. Become something totally unrelated to computers.
>>59145157
That's what we all did, buddy. Join the club.
Just learn to program, it's easy and you'll need it to some degree anyways no matter what you pick
Just bought one of these.
Ask me anything.
>>59145104
What if you're lying that you just check before you buy it.
Best choice of brand I think
>“Overclocking hasn’t been a problem at all. Although we can’t announce specifics regarding frequencies due to NDA I can say that the results are impressive and overclockers will be pleased”
>“With our overclocked 1800X sample cooled by the Noctua unit AMD provided in the reviewer’s kit we managed to surpass the 7700K in single threaded performance and the temperatures were great. We had no concerns about the temperatures.”
>“You can achieve a good overclocking result with one click and you don’t even have to bother with manually overclocking/tuning.”
>“It seems ironic yes, but with an auto-overclock the 1800X has no competition. Not even Intel’s 10 core 6950X can keep up with it.”
>“According to the performance we’re seeing we can say that the 7700K will be history, even for gaming.”
From donanimhaber, the same site that leaked Bulldozer being junk.

I've seen it, but I haven't seen much more than a few posts talking about it on /g/.
It's mostly been that one guy with a 1700 that 'only' overclocked to 4.1 talked about.

Who the hell pays for 30 TB cloud storage?
>>59144709
I bet you don't even get enough transfer allowance to use that.
People with 30TB they want to back up off-site.
>>59144709
These aren't even deals just the same price per TB lol
Why doesn't Intel enter the GPU market, and why doesn't Nvidia enter the CPU market?
Pic not related
>>59144544
Intel tried with Larrabee. It failed miserably.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larrabee_(microarchitecture)
Nvidia makes Tegra processors. They're not too bad for mobile processors.
Off topic note: AMD is taking them both on at the same time; a pretty interesting position they're in.
Funny thing is, despite not having an explicit x86 licence, Nvidia do own Transmeta, who made those weird codemorphing processors you could have found in a few low end netbook like computers in the mid 00s
Nvidia, if they felt like it, could dump a shitload of money into CPU R&D and push out a codemorphing processor that is explicitly designed for x86 emulation. I mean performance wise it'd probably stink, but it could feasibly be done.
>>59144582
Same guy here. There's stuff like Intel HD graphics and Iris Pro, but they're not quite on the same level as Nvidia and AMD in the graphics department.
I have a programming question that is specifically about emulators but the applications of which don't end there. I was looking though the source code for ppsspp and I was wondering how exactly you could do something like program the core of an application/game/emulator and then get the code to execute with a different language.
The specific example with ppsspp is the core of the program appeared to be written in c++ but they have folders with java code that allows it to execute on android. How is this done exactly?
>>59144535
Compiled code isn't written in a "language", it's written in actual calculations a processor can execute, at that level, programming languages don't matter.
>>59144584
Where would I go to find out how to take compiled code and use it in another language?
>>59144601
That's literally just emulation.
