I'm on arch.
Gentoo intrigues me, is there any good reason to switch?
I don't see any reason to install anything apart from Mint. That is, if you have life I mean.

Mints release cycle is bass ackward, and it offers no advantages over Ubuntu
You can install cinnamon on Ubuntu

Help me.
My wireless network card doesn't receive a good signal from the router, and they are about only 30m far from each other.
The signal is week and there's always a high loss of packets.
My laptop, located on about the same place, receives a good/average signal.
I've even bought a repeater, and placed it between the router and the computer, but that didn't help much.
I noticed something weird, the network card seems to work much better without the side panel on the computer case. Maybe the case somehow blocks the signal?
Help me

I'm planning on double majoring in CS and Mathematics and becoming a software engineer. Is the extra math superfluous and should I drop it? What does /g/ think?

the extra math is a waste, just do a business minor if you're going to force yourself to do more work

what is the best possible build for a 1000$ pc right now?
both rendering and gaming
R7 1700 8 core 16 thread
$150-200 AM4 x370 motherboard
16gb 3200MHz RAM
RX 480 8gb
650w+ gold PSU

Forgot SSD/HDD. Whatever.
Replace ryzen with some shitty locked i5 and a cheapo motherboard and there's your $1k build.

What the fuck is wrong with people? It's not that fucking difficult to keep your clock synchronized.

they're testbeds, they're usually tested until they break. then after they break they're rebuilt only to be broken again.
