Would it be feasable for microsoft to introduce a new update that locks out all third party apps from being used on windows, including anything made by Valve, or CDprojekt, or even Origin? The new Cloud update being teased for windows is definitely something I worry about in this respect. Even if every single corporation got into a ten billion lawsuit pileup to stop MS, they'd probably just eat the fees and continue on about their day. After all, they have enough profit margins and income brackets to support a large country.

It would be dumb as fuck (look at how windows rt flopped) but it's possible
>>
>>59185143
Osx has had the same feature for years. If you cant override it then the owner of your computer deemed you too stupid to be admin.
>>
Feasible? Not in the slightest.

Even with macOS's app store you can install 3rd party software from outside the confines. Microsoft has already tried making the Windows App Store a thing and failed to gain traction, forcing all 3rd party software through that portal would result in backlash far larger than $10billion.

There's nothing that says they couldn't try, but odds are good that they won't, since it would be PR suicide.

Basically, this paper aims to create an algorithm that generates images based on a text description.

Could someone use the same logic of this algorithm to generate fake custom porn?

Also, have you ever used convolutional neural networks in any kind of project? How did it go?

Why is there a background if its cg??
Seems fak4
>>
That's not how GANs work. You need hundreds of thousands (and possibly even millions) of example images in order to generate fakes which look alike.

It's not cg. I mean, it is, but automatically generated by a neural net based on the training set, which is composed by, usually, real images (= with backgrounds)

Inertia

I've been using Deluge for years, and it works alright despite being a RAM hog. qBittorrent might be better, but I'm not about to transfer over all my torrents for a slight performance boost.

Are 8 and 10 worth it or should I just stick to 7?
27 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>59184413

10 is worth it over 7 in many ways. Just make shure not to get home or even pro. get the entreprise/LTSB.
LTSB does not come with cortana and edge.

Remove cortana, all "universal apps" including the store, disable botnet crap like onedrive, user experience suggestions, telemetry, etc...

good script here:
https://community.spiceworks.com/scripts/show/3298-windows-10-decrapifier

It's some work but at the end you will have a better OS. don't forget to setup a user account for you that is devoid of admin rights, that's the best way to avoid viruses.

If you stick with LTSB and delay upgrades you will be fine. Wincloud is for home retards.

Sticking with entreprise ltsb and you'll be fine.

No windows store, no walled garden.

Web Assembly has reached the browser preview milestone. This means that popular web browsers will soon ship support for it.

What is web assembly?
Web assembly means that instead of having to run a script in JavaScript on the browser, you instead run assembly code which is in a common instruction set that browsers can decode.

Why is this useful?
Instead of having to use JS on a web browser, you can compile C, C++, CPython, and other languages to a format that can execute in a web browser. Make scripts for a website in any language you want!

Doesn't this mean that browsers can run arbitrary compiled code on your web browser? Isn't that a huge security risk?

I assume they compress and rehost the images you share. Saves bandwidth. If you want to send originals, don't use messenger. Use a hosting service like Dropbox OneDrive etc.

>A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket, designated AV-068, will launch a classified spacecraft payload for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office. The rocket will fly in the 401 vehicle configuration with a four-meter fairing, no solid rocket boosters and a single-engine Centaur upper stage.
