If we want a year of Linux Desktop to arrive, we need an open source leader that will appeal to normies. Linus is great, but he is no longer as passionate as he was in the 'shut up mauro' era. I imagine someone like a cross of Karlie Kloss, Steve Ballmer and Jesus. What's your best candidate, /g/?

Do I need a collage degree if I have the internet?

A random YouTube series won't instantly get you a job.
Degrees, no matter how bad the university/college scene is, still help you get jobs. It is true that people are able to get into IT or CompSci without degrees, but it's usually because they've self taught very well and it shows, and they usually get into the workforce via apprenticeships.
>>59192756
that is what i was getting at that whats the point getting a degree when all this information is available online for free.
I have an ALE-L23 huawei phone with android 5.0.1.
I want to do a full backup of everything I have in my computer. any easy way to do it? pls no bully /g/
>>59191889
To do a real "full backup" on an Android phone, you need to root the phone. Have you done that yet? If so, you've got two routes. 1) A recovery backup tool like TWRP. It makes *full* backups. Or 2) Titanium Backup. It allows selective backing up of virtually anything on your phone. {I use both...}
If you haven't and don't want to go that route, your best option is My Backup. It doesn't get everything, but it gets about as much as possible without root.
Contact FBI they have tools for cloning phones

I set up my Raspberry Pi 3 with NOOBS just to mess around. I'd like to make a cool emulator from it, in addition to some home networking things.
I'm wondering if I can add OpenMediaVault to the Pi so I can boot it up in "network mode" so that I can access all my hard drives from the network.
Or, am I limited to a one-function use with this thing, meaning it's the OpenMediaVault or emulator/other things?

is the /AMD/ream still alive and well?
If the dream is to be shit made for retards and provide constant disappointment then yes.

I bet your dream is brand-loyalty and to reduce competition so you pay Intel or whatever the fuck you like whatever they please huh?
Not even AMD/Intel fanboy, just a rational consumer here.

Hello there.
My cousin has this one contact that keeps bugging him. He has an iPhone6 and he tried blocking it but the contact found the way to get some messages. He then proceeded to change phone number and the contact appeared again. He changed numbers once more but this new phone number he got it with someone else's ID and the contact found his new number again.
I think his phone got backdoor'd. He is planning to change the phone but I need to know if someone knows something related to a program that can do that. Because we need to know if changing phone will solve it. We could factory reset it but he will need a new phone number reguardless. If just factory reset and getting a new SIM card solves it better yet.
Anyone knows this case and knows whats up?
That one contact had access to his phone many times in the past, for more than 10 minutes for what it's worth knowing so it had time to install any bs tracking 420 program into it.
>>59191287
You can go to police to try to track down that motherfucker.
>>59191317
He knows where the contact resides. Asking the contact politely to stop trying to reach him didnt work, so he proceeded to block the contact. The contact didnt quiet agree though.
>>59191420
this is harassment, he can go to court for that.
well, looks like it's a fire hazard again
>>59191281
Is it because the CPU voltage is so high? If not, I don't understand.
Why is the voltage so high?
>>59191281
Tcase max for the 95w 1700x and 1800x is 60c for peak XFR to kick in. Otherwise its 70c. The chips don't run hot, they don't consume much power either.
>>59191307
OP is shitposting because hes a fanboy shill
>>59191326
Auto settings not properly ironed out yet, and probably has the CPU running in its top pstate in BIOS.
Is it even worth it to try and hide yourself from your ISP/trackers and whatever else NSA boogeyman?
>>59191232
Yes, especially if you have something to hide. There's literally no excuse not to be as secure and private as possible.
>>59191283
I don't have anything illegal, but if for instance an employer or family/friend were to get a hold of my internet usage/history it could definitely cause problems. I think a lot of people can relate to this.
But just looking into everything needed to be somewhat anonymous, and having to apply that to you everyday internet usage (a lot more time consuming) it seems a bit out there.
>>59191232
Yes, its better to be more secure.
Is the 1400X going to be the price/performance sweet spot? It's 4/8 and only 100mhz under the 1800x for $199. This is going to be really competitive. Being as most people don't need more than 4 cores I think this is going to be a great deal.
At stock it should probably perform between the 7500 and 7600, but unlocked for overclocking and twice the threads.
