how about software availability compared to debian? is it any good?
>>
>>62201259
I'd say it's good (I have no metric to back this up besides never not finding software I wanted) and it's more up to date than Debian software, obviously. The kernel is very up to date as well.

Earlier this summer I visited best buy to buy some flashdrives. I wanted to make several live usb boot sticks. After reformatting the drives, one of them put a ghost virus on my laptop. On dark nights when the moon is out, the laptop clamshell will try to snap down on my fingers. It only got me once so far but I guess I can't blame the usb drives since I wiped them all out and they only want revenge.

So like, woah, I don't understand how this thing works. So I keep pressing the button, and get freaked out. Woah. Also I was bored one day and tried to find something and I did, got super freaked out.

So my computer was turning itself on in the middle of the night. Called my suicidal PC repair tech IT faggot fuckboat piece of SHIT!!!!!!!!!! in the middle of the night for immediate support on this and after he was done crying, he told me it was "Wake On Lan". Fuck that shit, never heard of it, told him to fuck off and slammed the phone down although I might have not and that sound might have been a gunshot.

Shit's just fucking haunted. Freaky as fuck. *passes the blunt*

My phone (Droid Turbo 2) wont turn on or charge at all.
When I can get something to show up, it's either showing the drained battery logo or this.
This isn't my picture, but it shows the device is 'LOCKED'.
What exactly does this mean? Is there a way to fix this or is it bricked?

Thanks in advance for any help. Sorry this is its own thread, couldn't find the stupid questions thread.

Look, I'm going to be honest. I'm a retard when it comes to scripting languages. I've used some python in the past but that's been 10 years ago. I've downloaded the prereq's and they're currently in a folder. I downloaded the most recent versions of everything. Where do I run the command line from? I tried running it from the bash/readline folder and the says that "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

What am I doing wrong?

There's a cafe four or five blocks away from me. If I built one of these cantenna things, could I connect to the internet without much trouble? What are the odds that it would be easily detectable that someone keeps connecting to them from far away?

Why didn't you just search this up? It's very well documented.
A TL;DR:
>extremely high ms
>detectable, but only for those searching for it
>>
>>62200811
Wouldn't you have to go to the cafe, and install a cantenna for them to point at your cantenna?

Can anyone actually hear the difference between FLAC 41.1kHz/16-bit and MP3 320kbps?
38 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
I did an ABX once and got 11/16 correct, if any difference can be detected it's extremely minor and doesn't take away any enjoyment of listening.
>>
Storage is cheap, if FLAC is theoretically better (even if we can't hear that it's better?) then why not use it over mp3?
>>
i can, but only barely. the difference is most likely not worth 5x the size in my opinion. i still download .flac files when i can find them, since storage is so cheap these days.

Copying my chromium profile from my backup location(which i was running it on while i was restoring data) no longer works. It presents this error message.I checked for any lock files in the profile, and there are none. However if i point via command line to my backup profile, it works as expected. How do i restore my profile? There are no zombie or background chromium processes.

Failed to create a ProcessSinzgleton for your profile directory. This means that running multiple instances would start multiple browser processes rather than opening a new window in the existing process. Aborting now to avoid profile corruption.
>>
>>62200641
the amount of time spent asking here could have just re-setup a new profile by now
