If im considering a g4650 or possibly a i3 6100 build right now, would it make sense to wait for ryzen 3?
>>59243327
Ryzen R3 won't come before second half of 2017 and idk if they will offer a CPU for $60. G4560 is always a good buy imho.

my 270x crossfires suck. for 1080 gaming, the 480 is still the gpu of choice right?

Considering getting some wireless headphones. I hate my current headphones because the cable gets tangled & I can't move around my room with them on.
The only issue would be the microphone. I would have to get a boom one or something, and I don't really have space for one. I guess I'll put off the idea for a while.
Current plans.
I want to make a little shelf in front of my TV so that I can put some consoles there. Also gonna have to get a cable sleeve so I can keep the power cables nice and clean.
Need to make some type of progress with that other desk setup. I was thinking about making it a work table, where I can solder and do other things of that nature. I have a printer there so I need to see what I can do with it to make room for everything that I need.
Need to paint my door and the frame.
Please give me a rate and some advice. Thanks!
>So this is an interesting video, Tech of Tomorrow made a video addressing the rumors that were going around regarding Intel contacting the press to shit on AMD for Ryzen reviews.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUk5T3AkJYE
>At 1:40 he says that AMD has an "advocate program" for people to go around and put down Intel/NVIDIA while making AMD looks good... basically paid shills.
>At 6:50 he also says that "the people at AMD" generates rumors on how Intel/NVIDIA contact the press to put down their product.
>These are some bold statements, Tech of Tomorrow is pretty big and known in the hardware review industry, so he must know a lot of behind the scenes and insider information so I don't think he would lie about something like this, or try to cause drama... he just seems fed up and is trying to expose the truth for us consumers.
>I hope AMD releases a statement on this.
>Another interesting bit - at 5:21 he also admits that for a content creator/reviewer, if you want to keep getting free stuff you have to give them good reviews.

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine.
1) Use a live image and to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or Mac.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

stable for some kind of server, testing for anything else. testing is actually more stable in many cases, because the more recent packages have more bugfixes.

Why is there so much unnecessary hate for Red Hat? They're fixing the Linux world, and making new and better software.
What are you working on, /g/?

First for Deadlang.
Implementing useless features in my flash card game.
Image segmenter. Takes scanned document of written words, splits it into individual characters.
>converts image to 2D vector
>splits into lines
>splits into characters
>both splitting algorithms ignore noise through a dynamic noise filter
>secondary noise check is done on split characters, removing characters smaller than (μ - 2σ)
>normalize characters to a square aspect ratio (by padding cols/rows)
>write individual images to disk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4SoT77acZM
Currently trying to optimize it so it's quicker. The bottleneck is file I/O, surprisingly. Input images are generally 120-150mb in size. 3/4ths of the time is just reading that fucken image. It takes 20x longer on Windows without altering the code, not sure why.
>Macbooks are overpriced
>Ok, show me a similarly priced laptop with the same specs or better. Reminder that $1300 rMBPs are light, have a 2560x1600 retina display, the best trackpads in existence, 8GB RAM, outstanding battery life, NVMe SSDs, and the best build quality and support in the business

HOLY FUCK.
THIS IS HUGE.
ALL WE NEED NOW IS THE ABILITY TO REGISTER WITHOUT A PHONE NUMBER AND CREATE A STANDALONE DESKTOP CLIENT.
WE ARE LITERALLY 2 STEPS FROM SIGNAL BECOMING THE MOST /G/ APPROVED IM SERVICE THAT HAS EVER EXISTED.
IS YOUR BODY READY?
Nice. Signal apparently works with microg google services framework too. https://microg.org/
Shame it's taking so long for Signal to get anywhere near the level of Wire.
Great now all we need is normies to actually install it

>ALL WE NEED NOW IS THE ABILITY TO REGISTER WITHOUT A PHONE NUMBER
Won't that disrupt how the encryption works?
>there are people who unironically thinks using a VPN helps you from being traced
It's literally a single point of failure. What makes you think that measly monthly/yearly fee (or worse still, those free VPN services) won't budge the instant any law enforcement agency offer a sum that is 10x more than that?
>>59259386
>Law Enforcement
Implying all VPNs are legitimate businesses.
ohws it a single point of failure
on another note, say the person you are tracking is using a proxy. what methods do you really have to get past this?
>>59259451
>ohws it a single point of failure
You just go to the VPN provider and use your usual methods to extract their logs and customer details
It's not as if there exists a single weakest link in all VPNs: they're all run by humans.
No memes please. I am really curious.
if theres any videos to watch im thankful
