I need your help.
Long story short, I was forced to format a partition on my hard drive with lots of my data on it. Music, pictures, docs, that sort of stuff.
I haven't put any new data into it, so I'm hoping none of it has been overwritten.

I need a free file recovery software that doesn't need registration or needs to be paid for, like the last two I tried.
I'm desperate to get these files back but every software I've tried is glorified adware to get you to pay, Please help me /g/.

help me /g/ I'm retarded
so I want to buy a new battery for my phone.
The original one is 1500 mAh, but I've seen batteries with 1700, 1800 and 2500 mAh.
I don't know shit about phones or batteries in general. Does higher mAh mean longer battery life? Are there even bigger batteries than the original, factory version for the exact same phone? Is it just a scam or does it really make a difference? Some guy in the phone shop wants to sell me a 1500 mAh battery for the price of a 1800 mAh battery I've seen on the internet. What is up with that?

Yes

Higher mAh = more capacity = longer life. Yes there are batteries that are bigger than factory, but dont trust the ones that claim to be more than 1.5x the original.
Look up reviews, buy from the right store.

Reason the guy sells it for the 1800mah price is because he needs to earn money.

could my searches on one device affect the searches on other devices on my LAN? I was learning about IRCs on my computer and was looking up research articles and the search had IRC related suggestions.

I used to log in with my google account on my boyfriends phone once.
After nearly a year the login still worked even though I changed the password many times already. How the fuck why is google saving the token for so long.

I've got a particular question about Shade You's VPN service before I purchase it to stream movies and download pirated video games.

1. Can you uninstall the VPN service and download it again on a work PC and not lose a subscription or a connected device or is each install 1 use?

2. is this VPN worth subscribing to?

3. Can I use this easily with my iPhone 6S Plus?

Is KVMGT ready to use? Seems like it could be a really nice solution for vidya games and the like without the need for full-on passthrough.

Or is it only for Intel graphics which would be shit for vidya?

Reading through a paper now but not 100% - they do mention i915 specifically but could nvidia or amd easily leverage this tech?

Pls sysadmins, give a tl;dr of this for us normos on /g/
