Why are toy videos on youtube always so incredibly akward?
>high pitched helium voice
>camera for some reason always decent despite shitty content
>comments are blocked, ratings and subscriber count disabled (pic exception)
>big 10s pauses between every action
>always fucking high placed in the trends with millions of views and yet only a few comments (when not disabled)
I see that this stuff is supposed to be for kids but I don't see the fucking point behind these videos. I have yet to encounter a single kid who has problems with naming colors.
>products meant for children being reviewed by adult men
These freak me the fuck out lemme tell ya what.

How many of you actually have a passive income from a website or some such venture? How did you do it?
I read 4HWW now I'm making $3246 a month starring in internet ads.
Seriously though that book was out of date when it came out, that sort of thing's been really hard 10+ years.

There was a thread on HN a few years ago, and the top comment was from a porn site guy. It was 8muses.
i'm trying to capture my wifi traffic with airmon-ng and ubuntu 16.04.2, but i can see only radio headers. how can i see the tcp/udp/icmp... traffic?

>>59056318
First, you need to use everything with root then capture your WiFi traffic by monitoring wlan0 or anything that is your wireless card. Monitor mode is the capture everything detected mode, the name explain itself.
What do we think of FirewallD? It's shit, right?
It gets the job done.
Anything more complicated can be handled in the command line
iptables hasn't failed me yet.

What's the best speech-to-text software?
I write a lot, and using Google Docs for it isn't always the best option. I'm looking for something that would support live editing of the text, while recording further at the same time.
Have a pretty picture of RMS.
>>59055681
Use google's speech to text and stream it to an editor in the form lf messages appending to the end of the text.
Probably could be easily done using neovim.
>>59055758
How even? I'm constantly switching between Windows 7 and Debian Stable while working, and I'm hardly a technical person.
In a perfect world, a solution I'd love is to just talk to my phone and point on my computer where I need the text inserted, but that's going to be in the far future, I don't think it's possible yet.

Do you keep your HTs on the charging base when not in use? or only when charging?
I've ruined a battery for my UV-5R by allowing it to be dead for far too long.
Lately I've been trying to power cycle the batteries at least every month or so to try and prevent this. I'd rather just be lazy and let them sit on the base. Any best practices or tips would be appreciated.
>inb4 amateur radio is for oldfags
might be the reality of the situation, but I believe wireless point to point communications is god-tier.
I made a 15,000 watt arc frequency jammer because a ham neighbor set up an ugly eyesore antenna that was huge.

KEK, not sure if you have a neighborhood association but if it's really ugly or freakishly tall you may be able to a get vote to have him take it down.

MPV question:
How do I get this to work on windows?
https://github.com/lvml/mpv-plugin-excerpt
where do I put the excerpt_copy file?
(I have bash on win10 ltsb)
Inside the scripts folder (which is inside your equivalent to the .mpv folder)
oh nvm, apparently bash is exclusive to the "windows store app" (botnet) which I don't have. so even though bash seems to be installed, it's really not.
Desktop user looking for a free antivirus/web protection. The sys runs chrome, sadly. Anyway, what is free and effectively sufficient.
I used to have panda but It seems to be paid only now.
Is AVG even worth using if it only lasts thirty days? I think not.
