Am I the only one confortable with a shitty i5 ivy bridge ? I'm a content creator aswell, and yeah rendering takes more time than with a 6950x but still a zillion less time than the time I need to think something original to create. Why do you autists need to save time on already ridiculously small processing times ? The greatest computing innovations were made when it'd take one day to compilate a program and we're crying for .1 second gains...
Yes you are literally the only one
i5 3570k here. Perfectly satisfied with it.
Well?

Cybersecurity? Okay /g/uys I've been tasked with making "cybersecuirty" questions for my university in a question with A,B,C,D answer format. Should I make some questions about not using micro$hit and jewbook?
>>59136649
they want questions about how to defend yourself from criminals, not the government/corporations
You can make those extra credit questions, but you shouldn't make them primary ones unless you want the administration up your ass.
>oh hey bro you mind if we sit... OOHHHHHhhhh FUCK DUDE! Is that a fucking T460?! No way, brah! That's fucking scandatious bombatious, my man. I just got 32 gigs in my little beast, absolutely no stalls working on any projects, brah. BRO! what GNU slash Linux distro do I see there? Hang on let me look, bro. Oh okay, bro, okay bro, ubuntu is pretty gnarly but, ya know, I'm more of a gentoo kind of guy. Anyway, dude, my squad and I need to fly so catch ya on the flip sigh, bro.

Why doesn't apt-get suggest packages like pacman does? Why can't I have pacman on noobuntu?
>>59135315
I prefer apt to pacman but miss yaourt when flipping between the two.
>>59135315
It does suggest packages before you install them instead of after like hackmab

Hy /g/. I don't understand why every time one write linux distro and not gnu/linux distro and lots of stupid retarded gnu faggot start writing "linux is ONLY the kernel etc etc.."..gnu project is trying to create a kernel (hurd) from 1990..it's a such ridiculous thing..without linux probably all of us ll be winfag. Linux is the most important part of the gnu/linux os; instead gnu is the most inutile part of it. And the fact that a lot of gnu retarded focus on the name confirm their inferiority. For this reason all of us say linux distro because linux is the only thing that really matters..
I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

I'm terribly sorry for interjecting another moment, but what I just told you is GNU/Linux is, in fact, just Linux, or as I've just now taken to calling it, Just Linux. Linux apparently does happen to be a whole operating system unto itself and comprises a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Most computer users who run the entire Linux system every day already realize it. Through a peculiar turn of events, I was misled into calling the system "GNU/Linux", and until now, I was unaware that it is basically the Linux system, developed by the Linux project.
There really isn't a GNU/Linux, and I really wasn't using it; it is an extraneous misrepresentation of the system that's being used. Linux is the operating system: the entire system made useful by its included corelibs, shell utilities, and other vital system components. The kernel is already an integral part of the Linux operating system, never confined useless by itself; it functions coherently within the context of the complete Linux operating system. Linux is never used in combination with GNU accessories: the whole system is basically Linux without any GNU added, or Just Linux. All the so-called "GNU/Linux" distributions are really distributions of Linux.
I was thinking of making a malware where there is a file when executed it edits all the cpu and voltage sttings for the laptop making the laptop taking in more voltage of electricity when and which will officially overheat and kill the computer. Now this might not be possible but is there any file that allows modifications on how much voltage the laptop can take in while charging?
Please sage this for such low quality...
Cant you just modify the settings in windows control panel which is labeled power consumption or something
yeah just google stuxnet and do what they did
>>59134199
Is there a code to make it modified? Like something I can add to cmd
I've been dicking around with Ubuntu on Windows recently and so far here's what works:
Without an X-server:
>Basically everything non-graphical, I even got that Neural Network painting thing running
With an X-server:
>Xfe
>Midori
>VLC (Partially)
Anyone else done more testing/know how to fix the issues with the X-server?

Ah fuck, I'm retarded, just found the info. It's standart amount of endpoints for USB mouse by standart.
